Yeah, Doggie.........I was just impressed with the names of the other musicians...never knew MB played w/ pretty well-known guys aside from Tull. btw, keep them memorabilias poppin'! Tommie I will do if I can find any but I reckon most of the items posted have appeared on this forum by now. If I find anything I will forward it to this board don't worry There's a lot more on the electrocutas site and can be viewed there. I deliberately haven't nicked any of his stuff as a) that would not be fair as he's put a lot of time and effort into his site and b) it would seem senseless to repeat it and double it up. Speak soon - thanks for your support. maddog

I think Martin Barre also played on a few tracks of a solo album by the Uriah Hepp guy. John Wetton...I heard one years and years and it sounded good...He also spent time in a studio with the bass player for some band called 'the beatles' but that never got released. I think some Mcartney tracks with dave Mattacks did get finished.

Source re: the McCartney info? Hard to beleive Martin would've never mentioned that. (Probably a gag order imposed by Ian. haha)

Source re: the McCartney info? Hard to beleive Martin would've never mentioned that. (Probably a gag order imposed by Ian. haha) MB recorded at least one Paul McCartney song which was never released in the uk having been dropped from the final running order, don't know the album it was destined for. I think it may have been released in Russia or somewhere like that as a B side. Further confirmation required from one of our Beatle/PMc fans please.

The King Crimson/ UK bassist/ vocalist's 1980 solo debut, cut prior to forming Asia. Includes guest appearances from Jethro Tull's Martin Barre, Roxy Music's Phil Manzanera and Bad Company's Simon Kirke.

Part Of the Machine- slightly different releases. I have a version where the word "promotional" is missing from the cover, later on at the same store I spotted the one with "promotional" (probably should have bought it). No "promotional" as found here: s1015.photobucket.com/albums/af278/tootull/?start=all

If it has there are a few photos of mine at s547.photobucket.com/albums/hh459/moggietull/under my other web name of moggietullNow I've got into the 21st century bigtime I'll have to put some of my Tull memorabilia there. Thanks Tootull for the instructions etc etc ;D

The link works, looking forward to the grand display. ;D Thanks Tootull for the original link and the idea to do this. Perhaps we can encourage others to join up and we can really make the Tull memorabilia thread "a work of art".

Thanks Tootull. Will have to take a break for a few days/nights as the annoying puzzle that is called work has reared its ugly head.

A snap of the Boss at Wembly Arena, 1988 which I took with a cheapie camera from the front row. It was used in the recent Classic Artists DVD in the memorabilia bit on disc 2.

Wonderful memorabilia Storm and thanks for posting. As more of us are able to post items I think we should have a request thread so that we can share with others some of the more "interesting" items that are around.

Now a question for all you Tull record collectors. I have a vinyl LP, issued by Chrysalis in 1975 called "The Chrysalis Compendium - Hardly Beginner's Luck". Opening side has LITP/Wond'ring Aloud/Locomotive Breath edited together - there's a segment from each song. The album sleeve states "Demonstration Record. Not for sale" and the UK contact address is "Chrysalis Music Ltd, 108 Park Street, London W1". Other artists include Chrysalis favourite such as Leo Sayer, Alvin Lee, Gary Booker & Keith Reid, Frankie Miller etc. I've never been able to find out any more about the album except that is was to promote the artists and their songs and I'd be interested to know if there were any further albums of this kind with IA's music on them.
