Great stuff - Tull on the front page. I still have my copy of the free Alice Cooper flexidisc as well! Got the flexi disc somewhere as well although the music broadsheet met its maker in a minor water flood many years ago

Serious flashbacks from the German 'A' poster which smiled at me from subway stops for weeks while i worked in hamburg that year...in fact, you must have an early version...they added a second date in Hamburg. I couldn't wait for the hamburg gigs so i called in sick and hitchiked to Dortmund on a whim....met Ian for the first time that day and made numerous German Tull fan friends. The Hamburg venue, CCH, is the lower level of a skyscraper hotel...I swear to this day that the combination of city lights, smog and setting sun caused a clear 'A' to hover over the venue that evening....no, really...we all saw it and agreed. Of course, the 'A' in the sky might not have been connected to the current Tull release...it may have had something to do with the Afghani guys I was living with (rich students who fled the Russians in 1980) and the particular kind of opiate/hash they were providing to support themselves and their families while the Russians ran amok in their homeland. I was told that it was the same hash that addicted and defeated the Russian troops! It may have had something to do with the 'A' in the sky!

Bet you have great stories to tell to the grandkiddies in years to come - when they're older

Yo, Maddog, those first 2 are gorgeous, esp. the Neil Young/Tull one! Interestingly, that was the year Neil was touring w/ the album "Trans"..all synthesiers and computers and stuff and right before Ian's own synth/computer solo "Walk Into Light".
BTW.........was THE BACKYARD the venue? (if so, where,? please) ...or the support act.
Thanksssss!!!

I like it...Global Moderator memorabilia competition...we all win! I wish I was smart enough and had the technology to scan some of my tullabilia...oh well...good thing i got the thousand words for when there is no picture...my holdings are an embarrassing trickle...but not without points of interest. Have you all seen the parody ad that National Lampoon did after Passion Play?...or was it really Chrysalis reacting to the bad reviews?

Go to Google images and type something along the lines of "Jethro Tull Memorabilia" or "Jethro Tull Concert Posters" and see what you get. Unfortunately not all of the ones I've posted are copies of mine and it's amazing what does crop up on some weird and wonderful web sites which would be of interest Tull-wise. I'll keep searching for any rare Tull stuff and will post them as and when I hopefully find some now I really know they're appreciated. Never saw the parody ad for Passion Play - may have a look for that this weekend

The text of the National Lampoon Passion Play 'ad' is on Tullpress..late in 1973..the only listing National Lampoon that year....it was superimposed over the ballerina and the Chrysalis logo....Was this Chrysalis produced...actually out-cynicing the cynics after the poor reviews or is it a mean parody by someone who really wanted to trash Tull? In those days, national Lampoon ran some pretty mean parody ads....I remember a picture of a VW floating, from a real ad, and a picture of Edward Kennedy saying 'if I drove a VW I would be the president today....not long after a young woman drowned in a car he drove off a bridge, drunk! Check out the 'ad'...whta do you all think? www.tullpress.com/nloct73.htm

Speaking of cars....a Tullie in So Cal has two Tull vanity license plates: NBDZ CAR on his Datsun and 1WHT TRK on his white, toyota truck!'
What did you think of the Passion Play 'ad' ?

What did you think of the Passion Play 'ad' ? A superb p155 take ;D, but in a "friendly" and wonderfully sarcastic manner.

Ahh Maddog "yu are spoileeing uz!" (French accent : The Rock Island one is beautiful - what else would a Tull freak want on their wall? ;D Now advice wanted here - I bought the Steel Monkey pic disc only a few months ago from a travelling record fair that visits my wee town about twice a year. I was happily spending a geeky glorious afternoon talking Tull etc when they last visited - they are due again in a couple of months and will look out in the meantime for Tull memoribilia. Question? I get nervous when it come to pricing/ haggling at these things - whats the protocol at these events?

So back in September 2002 my family was helping my grandmother settle in to her new place in Phoenix. One day we went to a Dodgers/Diamondbacks game and had lunch in Alice Cooper's Cooperstown restaurant beforehand. I found this on the wall: Hopefully it's still there? And here's another tube sign to complement the one earlier: Taken April 2005 on an inpromptu trip to London after ditching Santorini. I might have other stuff someplace, just have to figure out where it went.
