It seems to have gone quiet regarding a release date for the deluxe version of the album.
Anyone have any further information/rumours as to when this will be released?
I am really looking forward to this, I hope it's released at some point this year.

I have 'bumped' this thread.
Still no news on the 'deluxe' edition?
Anybody in the know?

I'm sure it is coming.......I don't think any date has been set though, hopefully this year....I love the album personally. I hope he carries on and Under Wraps is done too........with a drummer, would be great to hear how that would sound. I would think it would involve a bit of work though, to get a drummer into a studio and record along with the original track........must be possible "in this day and age" lol.

I can't wait for the 'deluxe' releases of both 'Broadsword' and 'Underwraps'. I wonder just how far they will go with these re-issues? I have noticed that these deluxe editions are going for 'crazy' money on e-bay, particularly 'Songs From The Wood' and 'Thick As A Brick'. I wonder if any of them will ever be reissued? If not, they have been a very good investment for Jethro Tull fans that's for sure!

It has been said (by David Rees from the A New Day fanzine) that the Broadsword box set had been postponed from July of this year to March 2023. However, there is no official confirmation about this, and some sources I contacted said they didn't know anything about a delay.

I have just seen this picture disc on e-bay. I have the ordinary 7" black vinyl but did not realise this came out in a picture disc format. Does anyone on the forum own this picture disc? I would love to buy it - but not for the seller's asking price - £37.00 (Ouch!). What a superb item this is though!

How can you begrudge sending your money to someone who keeps their purple carpet so clean?

Without exception each was warped and either didn't play or jumped alarmingly. Of course we had bought them to look at rather than play but even so they were a poor pressing on vinyl that seemed too thin.

If I ever do come across a copy at a reasonable price I will probably buy it - not to play but just to look at!

From an advert in 'Sounds' magazine in 1982. I was at that gig in Newcastle. It seems like yesterday!

I remember that 'A' album advert well! I would love to see all those Jethro Tull album and single release adverts from NME, Sounds, and Melody Maker gathered together and published in book form. It would be great to see them all gathered together in chronological order of release! I would certainly buy a copy!

My main memory, (apart from a week of seemingly endless driving) is of the Newcastle gig. Peggy in charge of the foot pedal that triggered a pre recorded shout of "Beastie" on the chorus of that song. He stepped on it in the wrong place, looked like he wanted the stage to swallow him and got a withering look from IA. You should be able to hear it on any recording of this show. (Just had a quick listen.. There it is during "Hes the lonely fear of dying" ) . Cant believe this is 40 years ago though. GULP!
