Should the Band & Ian solo have a break for a couple of years then re-emerge with new album etc or continue with the yearly touring and the odd spattering of something new?

I am sure I read a while ago that IA said that to get off the touring treadmill at his age could make it very difficult to start over again. Therefore as much as I would like a new album and a rejuvenated JT on tour I think it is most unlikely such would happen. So on the basis that any JT/IA is better than than none my vote has to go for the Memory Lane option

Got to agree with your comments harrowman as long as he keeps playing at decent venues and doesn't get bogged down with these multi-artist revival tours where each act gets 20 minutes to perform. And don't mention the cabaret circuit . . . And fair play to the old boy, he could have advertised next year's TAAB tour as Jethro Tull but chose not to. Seems somehow rather honest of him and something that some bands with ever changing lineups probably wouldn't have done.

Agree entirely Maddog very important that IA band is kept separate from JT. The advertising for TAAB makes it very clear that this is not a JT tour and therefore allows all us punters to make a choice whether we want to attend or not.

I'm betting the Martin Barre tour gets great reviews. No idea how the TAAB reviews will go. They'd better crank up the fun and spontaneity for the live show or Mike Nelson won't show up.

Hope MB's tour/gigs get good reviews but he's got to get his act together regarding publicity. Anyone here going to Tavistock ?
