I know...I know...there is a gig meet up section for ticket bizness...but I never look at it...this is important so I'm living reckless and posting here. I just found out I can go to Red Rocks....anyone have three decent seats for sale or trade? I thought I'd miss out on this tour but everything lined up for a visit to my childhood home, Denver, at the exact right time to catch the tour after all. I last saw Tull in Denver exactly 32 years ago...they played the just opened Mcnichols Arena on August 12th, 1976...the story was that Ian hurt himself horseback riding on his birthday, two days earler...but you wouldn't have known it frrom his energetic performance...sadly, only two songs the whole night from the most recent release, ( Crazed and title cut from TOTRARTYTD), back in those days still noteworthy....little did I know that later that same life, well into the next century, we'd be hailing the 21 year old Budapest as 'recent stuff'. Plan A is Tull Forum for tix...plan B will be Denver Craigslist and Plan C will be cash in hand night of the gig...I can't quite make myself spit out the money for the remaining crummy seats available online...somehow my Tull karma will get me an upgrade...right?

Admittedly I am at least as big a Deadhead as a Tullie, but while they have always been a really good band, since about 01 Ratdog live shows have been at least as good as current Tull shows, and I am someone who can easily weather Ian's voice, the only small drawback to Tull is moderately predictable setlists, although I don't think nearly so bad as fans make out, nearly all the old stuff gets new clothes for each tour since 72. Hopefully Mark Karan is back in good health for the Dog, but having said that I hope the deputized Steve Kimock is still on board, closest thing to Jerry's tone. Would love to hear your review, Ratdog has grown some serious teeth. I am with you on One More Saturday, while I have heard excellent versions through the decades, probably versions saved by Jerry's guitar or some ensemble wonder, it is near the bottom of my Dead love. I think Lost Sailor is fairly rare in the Dog repertoire but not nonexistent, its partner Saint of Circumstance (this must be heaven, last station on the line) is a regular participant, as are alot of Jerry's songs done up real proud. BTW The Other One is better than a slim chance, always in the regular repertoire,(which means maybe once every 3 shows) lyrically it was Bobs song and real life story re Cowboy Neal Casady his hammer flippin then roommate at 710 Ashbury, and Bob was the guy who got busted for "smilin on a cloudy day" after nailing an SF cop with a water balloon from the third floor at 710, and then maybe foolishly going outside to check on his well being and the cop connected the dots.

I'd be happy to provide you airline tickets, Tull tickets, hotel rooms, t-shirt and nektar of the local microbrewery...hang on a sec.....whoops, didn't win the California lottery jackpot this week...I'll try again Wednesday and get back to you with details. If you can't wait, check the Super lottery results for 7-16. 1,4,12,21,23 and 31, all matched, guarantees you Tull at red rocks.
