An excellent evening at Manchester Cathedral. A very relaxed Mr Anderson on fine form. Especially liked the moment when he stopped in front of me for a photo opportunity as he came down the aisle (see attached) Attachments:

Thank you very much Adrian they're brilliant. I especially like the ones with the choirboys and Ian and is he patting a choirgirl on the head? One of the vergers(?) looks a bit like Elton John and great pics of Florian and the backdrop on the altar. Great insight to the night. Cheers.

The choir were excellent, a wonderful counterpoint to the Tull sound. The girl that Ian was patting did a reading, seemed so totally unfazed by the crowd The Elton John lookalike I think might be The Revd Canon Gilly Myers The backdrop of the cathedral did lend to the atmosphere, very relaxed Mr A. I intend writing some sort of review once I've finished coping with sprouts and parsnips

Salisbury Journal Thursday, 22nd December, 2011 Time team star joins cathedral gig ARCHAEOLOGIST Phil Harding was a special guest on Friday night at Jethro Tull singer and flautist Ian Anderson’s Christmas show in Salisbury Cathedral. The sell-out show featured a selection of reworked carols, music, seasonal readings and prayers. Harding, who lives in Salisbury and is a well-known face from Channel 4’s Time Team programme, gave one of the seasonal readings. Proceeds from the show will go to the cathedral repair fund.

Brilliant to watch two of the worlds greatest flautists on the same stage. Normally I'm a bit tired of 'Bouree' but this one's fantastic. Mind you I think Andrea was tempted to go on one leg.
