It'll give me the excuse to visit the doctor's surgery, read out of date magazines and be told I've got to change my life style - so no more marathons then ;D

Hello Friends. The third TaaB 2 which I have seen ( and heard ) this year, it was great! Perhaps, best of two previous, maybe because i noted that the "mechanism" is well established by now. This is always a very difficult show to do, I think. Songs, music, dancing, long distance call by Anne Phoebe in the middle of the show, entertaining stories to tell are really many things to move forward. The voice of Ian seemed more than acceptable, and singing by Ryan, as well as pleasant help much Ian. The musicians are almost always very well together, we already know. The ending with "Locomotive Breath", it is very impressive, with the movie in black and white with the railroad tracks that run. I hope to still see TaaB 2 next year. For now I'm waiting for the Christmas concert at St. Bride's Church in a few days. M.

GREETINGS! I was so glad to find Ian's TAAB2 coming locally and it was only by chance I heard of his coming via radio as the tickets weren't through ticktmaster. It had been so long since Tull hit Ohio that I had to pinch myself. I admit I'm not up on the goings on of others as I'm busy myself but I was taken aback to find this young man singing many of the lyrics and, what at first seemed to be mocking Ian (How dare he!), prancing around on stage. I thoroughly enjoyed myself! Ian being Ian, the band and their Tom-foolery, the show was awesome! My wrist hurts, elbow, shoulder, knee... So if Ian needed a little help with some vocals from 30+ yrs ago, I'm OK with it. ...And the youngster didn't have much to do the whole 2nd half. In all the years I've seen Tull in concert these were the best seats I've had. I am still humbled to have sat so close. We were dressed to the 9s, a wonderful dinner beforehand, this was truly one of the best nights out I've ever had. Another 5 stars to Ian and his ability to touch my small world!

Hi all. For the first time in my life, I missed a concert of Ian while having tickets. Yes, we spent the weekend in u. K, but much more to the North of Fleet street, in our House of Oakmere, Cheshire, 'cause my mother-in-law had a slight illness, already passed. The concert at St. Bride I enthusiastically has been described by a friend of J. T Italian Forum. Have been performed, among other songs, Bouree, Jack in the Green, a part of TaaB, Wotton Basset Town, AQUALUNG, My God, Locomotive Breath. I think it was wonderful.

What a night that could have been: Ian, the bricks and a Polish town with vowels...I got stuck in a humorles, Polish town without vowels: PZMYRSYL......pronounced, more or less: Pshem-itz-shel. The place probably has a population of about 40,000...so too small for a Tull show of their own.

IA and Jethro Tull have great respect and admiration in Poland as one of a select "band" of musicians who had their work promoted there during the latter stages of the "cold war" era. "Hope everybody's dancing to their own drum this fine morning the beat of distant Africa or a Polish factory town."

Ian Anderson with Jethro Tull in Hamm: Thick as a Brick May 23rd, 2012 Alfred-Fischer-Halle Hamm, Germany 8-|TULL Link By Werner Lauterbach ▪ HAMM The caretaker put the finishing touches on the stage setup. Your gowns and caps flew quickly to one side as Ian Anderson with voice and acoustic guitar prelude to "Thick as a Brick" intoned.
The stagehands mutated to John O'Hara (keyboards), Florian Ophale (guitar), David Goodier (bass) and Scott Hammond (drums). The current "Jethro Tull 'duty brought after 40 years, the 1972 concept album in the Alfred Fischer Hall, and over 1,300 music lovers attended the anniversary coherent framework. Singer / Actor Ryan O'Donnell took Anderson's singer role this played his flute and a few other parts. The timbre of his voice resembled that of the "young" front man who apparently had no problem with the fact that his new partner has vocal qualities he himself did not reach to the best of times.
Dumb as a "music and lyrics of English as a provincial newspaper packaged original album fascinated even after four decades - and not just because most of the fans were a bit younger in age or Anderson. O'Donnell's representational presence coupled with projected behind the band image sequences supplied in addition to mocking and sarcastic text content of the red thread of the then unprecedented concept album. Arranged in suite form, stylistically divergent sequences revealed a bombastic whole that really works simply only in full version. The complex sound Melange required intensive listening to unlock the "Thick as a brick" -Magie - auskopplung enabled Hitmaterial was not then, as now, the intention.
The second part of the concert presented by the thematic development of the life story of the fictional, childlike text author Gerald Bostock. The presentation of the recently released sequel, "Thick as a brick 2" was carried out to date: The news blog on the projected surface computers took over the newspaper feature. The re-arranged as a suite of musical material added perfectly to seamlessly. What had become of the precocious schoolboy Gerald Bostock? Anderson's reflection showed several options: bankers, homeless, soldier or preacher. Has the inexhaustible variety of options at turning points of life a central point - there is a karma? The audience diversity in the here and now seemed like a reinforcement of the vital question of the songwriter Ian Anderson, "Jethro Tull" represents - the others were and are always interchangeable.

Amazing! Yeah, right next to each other! If I would've been a member of this board, I would've known! And I would've bought you a drink! Asheville is a beautiful place! I drove down from Pittsburgh to see it. Neat!
