Evening folks,
While browsing on the Amazon site today (as you do...) I noticed there's a swathe of back-catalogue Tull CDs scheduled for release on Toshiba-EMI in August 2008. They're listed at a stonking £25 each, so there must be something special about them. Any ideas about what they are? The Bursting Out issue is a single CD, so they don't look like 'extra tracks' re-re-issues. Some clever new format for young persons, that I've not heard of, maybe?
Cheers, Greg

Been wondering about those myself. The prices of many of the Tull CDs seem either very low or, as in the case of the Music For Pleasure version of "A Classic Case" very high (£272.85p). Maybe a cock-up with the Amazon site or something we haven't been told about?

Dear Greg & MDF - Thanks for the info chaps. Are you able to say if Walk into Light is included? Failing that, is it possible to obtain this cd, at a reasonable price? I have seen it on eBay for £40 – which I am not prepared to pay. So, it would appear that Walk would be warmly welcomed in the re-issue/remaster series – especially if IA could turn up a few extra tracks from the sessions.

I know that sucker did get remastered, seems like 5 years ago, might have been 10. It was not part of all the Tull cd's that got remastered. It could easily then have drifted into deep obscurity, for all I know it is the remastered one that has the ridiculous price. While I am fanatically against the downloading of copyrighted material, in absurd cases such as this I make an exception, its probably on some dodgy site somewhere. I know I just snagged the Beatles Christmas Album, it has several good moments but really it is as intended and that is crap with maybe a good piece of Lennon silliness on the side, all for the Beatles collectible price of between 200 to 500 dollars when its actual worth is more like 2 dollars. I'm takin that I have decided its mine as a Beatle curator.

Dear tullistray Thanks for the info. I have an old tape version which I sometimes play – but am wary of tape snap and the music will be lost forever. I once saw the Walk cd for sale (from Russia !!) via EBay – it was coupled with a JT cd on a “two for one”. It was not expensive. However, I tried recently and it appears to have disappeared. I suppose I could find somebody with that useful software which copies your old LPs and cassettes on cd. But, better still, look forward to a re-issue with extra tracks form IA when he was on fine form, in voice and music.

They've been for sale in a local shop by me (Leamington Spa) for some time. They're those "Mini Album" things.
