My youngest grandchild is autistic and yesterday while playing in the park he made a friend by his own initiation and waved and blew a kiss to him when he went home. Now that piece of news gives me hope for the human race

7 days, landed a 3-day head cold which prevented me from getting to a film festival, an ECOliving fair and from voting in a provincial election, but things are changing fast for the better here in the following week. I rediscovered the cold-therapy value of cayenne and am on the capsules this week to great results so far. Also, for some reason I still don't understand, my fairly new Windows 7 64-bit tech monster computer which was bluescreening 10 times daily has decided to now run fairly smoothly, after 38 zillion double checks, driver updates, and compatibility and Control Panel inspections. This make me so happy, I opened up two music stands in the living room and I'm going to print the songs for my next CD and start recording demo-quality stuff, moving towards another recording session perhaps ending by next spring. I miss Wavlab SO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Saw a 5 star show by the ex-John Mayall guitarist Buddy Whittington. He appeared at a small venue, (maybe 200 in the audience), about a 15 minute drive away. The great man also signed one of his CDs for me. Folks, go and see this guy.

Glad to hear that you had a good concert.

Some live jazz tonight after a weak of extremely cold temperatures and being inside all the time, now it's humane again.

Crawled back home after consuming a belated burns supper of Haggis, Neeps and tatties together with some Theakstens 'Old Peculiar'. Nice combination.

Whilst some of us are hard at work with the dessert making, other sleep the sleep of children, moggies and other living creatures - seems sensible to most people. Or, as in the case of Bunkerfan, you've imbibed far too much Theakstens 'Old Peculiar' - a brew which is to die for.

You guys don't know the half of it...they girls have been singing this song for weeks...i even printed the lyrics...so the whore that bore her FLIPPED and sent me an angry e-mail insisting it was an over-sexualized, pornographic song and how dare i 'force' ( see...printing lyrics they asked for becomes forced...joint custody anyone? ) my daughter to memorize trash like 'I've got a man at my hips' so i explain that in English ( the whore that bore her is brazilian) 'man at my hips' does not imply intercourse, cunnulingus, rear entry intercourse or anything lustful....it just means 'at my side' and that the song is about a breakup and the ex-boy seeing the girl with new boy and being advised he should have proposed marriage and now has himself to blame and that 'man at my hips' is horizontal and with clothes on......and i send examples of common usage like best friends being 'joined at the hips'

Well - since the last operation on March 27th - and since that point, finally getting rid of the permanent catheter (which was in situ for most of the last 6 months) - I've had just over a week of sheer bliss by comparison! So what's made my last week (and a half, to be precise) is being back to normal! Everything now back on track again, after being 'on hold' 6 months - all seems well, too - am especially enjoying my getting back out there and playing music again. Life, as part of being a long song, is on the up once more! Yay!

Mind you I didn't have to get up in the middle of the night to empty my bladder.........Which was nice Good to hear you're on the mend. Take care!

Can sympathise regarding the catheter as I've now had the pleasure a couple of times. It's when they take it out that's extreme agony. I may tell the story one day.
