"Gardening and my Latest Rock Album" by the Wild Flute- Playing Ian Anderson Uploaded on 20 Jan 2009 - rafahhhhhh When the rats are running and the boys are gunning for heads on a tin plate you can hear the footfall softly in the back yard. And the black jack is called face up on the last card.
You'd better call your witness in your dirty business. Trop tard sera le cri. Better run while you can better set the tall sail. Better make deep cover before the boys have you nailed.
There's just one chance to get away I'll catch up with you another day. I'll close my eyes and count to ten and come right after you again.
Grab your credit cards cash in on your resources. Take your passport from the drawer, don't stop to change the horses.
Get out of the heat.
Now can you feel the pressure? Have you got the measure of being a wanted man? Cold drink in your hand hot sweat on your brow. And there's no understanding going to help you now.
Grab your credit cards cash in on your resources. Take your passport from the drawer, don't stop to change the horses. Notify all parties of an earlier vacation. No use trying to board the train after it's left the station.

The Music Show presented by Andrew Ford "The Music Show is a two-hour mix of conversation and music. It's hosted by composer Andrew Ford, who over the last 20 years has interviewed all the musicians you've ever heard of and some you haven't. Gregorian chant or hip hop, kd lang or a rookie conductor, all receive the same close attention." Ian AndersonSaturday 21 June 2014 10:05AM From 1967 Ian Anderson was the front man for one of the world's most successful progressive rock bands, Jethro Tull. While the line up of the band changed many times, the vocalist, guitarist, flautist and concept master Ian Anderson remained a constant. As a solo artist he's just released a new prog rock album Homo Erraticus and will tour Australia later in 2014 to perform the best of Jethro Tull.Listen Now or Download Audio at www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/musicshow/ian-anderson-interview/5535674or mpegmedia.abc.net.au/rn/podcast/2014/06/msw_20140621_1005.mp3

He talks to Floyd's David Gilmour, Rick Wakeman of Yes and Keith Emerson, and ponders the subtle difference between 'Prog' and 'Progressive', before asking the difficult question - was any of it any good?

You read it here first. Jethro Tull 6 Music Classic Concert Saturday 14 March 2015 - 02:00 Jethro Tull recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon in London in 1984. Presented by Chris Hawkins.www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b054zb8nThe above programme was "shelved" at the last moment by the BBC and replaced by one featuring The Manic Street Preachers. So . . . I sent the following email off to the station: Hi Chris
Was there any reason why the advertised classic concert by Jethro Tull this Saturday morning (2.00 am, 14/3/15) was changed to one by The Manic Street Preachers even though the Tull concert had been advertised in the schedules in The Radio Times and on the 6 Music web site during the week ?
Finally got this reply today: Hello Graham, Chris Hawkins has passed your email onto me as I produce the Classic Concert programme. I am very sorry that you were disappointed by the late postponement of the Jethro Tull concert. We had to reschedule the previously-advertised classic concerts as a result of the previous weekend’s special Bjork programmes. Unfortunately this change was not reflected in all the published billings. I apologise for any inconvenience and disappointment this caused you. Hopefully you’ll be pleased to hear that the Jethro Tull Hammersnith Odeon 1984 concert will be broadcast in the usual 2am Classic Concert slot this Saturday 21st March. Thank you for the interest you have shown in this programme.

New To BBC Radio 4: Lisa Knapp – Shipping Songsian-anderson.musicnewshq.com/news/new-to-bbc-radio-4-lisa-knapp-shipping-songs-folk-radio-uk-1REBLOGGED FROM FOLKRADIO.CO.UK - BY ALEX GALLACHER www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05r401hThis coming Thursday 23rd April you can hear a new programme on BBC Radio 4 called Shipping Songs. The programme features award-winning folk music artist Lisa Knapp. On Lisa’s latest album Hidden Seam, a featured album on Folk Radio UK (see our review), one of the most memorable tracks was her Shipping Song which used the arcane shipping forecast as the template for one of the most original and astonishing songs of the sea you could wish for. On this programme Lisa takes her love takes her love for the Shipping Forecast further with a musical and poetic voyage through the watery regions and examines the appeal it holds for land-bound musicians, poets and writers. It has inspired many through the ages since its first broadcast in the 1920s including author Charlie Connelly who has fond memories listening to it at home – a cosily reassuring experience. There’s no danger of a westerly gale eight, veering southwesterly increasing nine later (visibility poor) gusting through your average suburban living room, blowing the Sunday papers all over the place and startling the cat. Irish poet Seamus Heaney was also inspired and wrote Shipping Forecast which was quite possibly the work that inspired Lisa: Dogger, Rockall, Malin, Irish Sea: Green, swift upsurges, North Atlantic flux Conjured by that strong gale-warning voice, Collapse into a sibilant penumbra. Midnight and closedown. Sirens of the tundra, Of eel-road, seal-road, keel-road, whale-road, raise Their wind-compounded keen behind the baize And drive the trawlers to the lee of Wicklow. L’Etoile, Le Guillemot, La Belle Hélène Nursed their bright names this morning in the bay That toiled like mortar. It was marvellous And actual, I said out loud, ‘A haven,’ The word deepening, clearing, like the sky Elsewhere on Minches, Cromarty, The Faroes. In the programme Lisa reflects on her own fondness for the forecast for which, in reality, she has no need, but which has ignited her imagination and taken her off to distant mythical lands. She hears from fellow musicians and writers who have been influenced by the Shipping Forecast and finds out how this regular informational broadcast captured their imaginations. Poet Sean Street, songwriter Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull and composer Cecilia McDowall are among those to share their thoughts on the forecast’s appeal.Thursday 23 April 2015 at 11:30am BBC Radio 4 www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b05r401hwww.lisaknapp.co.uk/
