My oldest surviving Tull shirt is Broadsword era, but I now wear them 2 or 3 times and they they're stored away. But it does remind me of those wonderful merchandise flyers that used to be in the concert programmes of yore
www.chesterhopkins.co.uk/ The only trouble is it's only available in size M BTW If there's a thread somewhere on the forum for t shirts etc. please tell me as my eyes are now like organ stops searching for it
It'll be on ebay sure enough young sir. You just have to wade through all the other Tull items there - what a chore
Hadn't realised this thread was over two years old. How time flies when you're enjoying yourself.
There are a few T shirts that I have which were done for specific occasions. The UK Tull conventions were such a case especially the first in '89 where we had around 300 printed even though the hall the Convention was held in could only hold 200 due to fire regulations. Most attendees at the Convention bought a shirt and the 100 or so that were left were sold at that year's Cropredy Festival by Ian Burgess on the Friends of Fairport Stall. It was the profit from the shirts which allowed Graham Smith and myself to recoup our initial outlay and "break even" even after sending a donation to the NSPCC.
I still have one of those Tull "flute badge" things, although I call it a tie clip, it has two pins with the usual pinch clips tie clips have. I used to have an original TOTRTYTD yellow T-shirt but that's history. I still have a black one with the stick/bag hiker image, but I forget what tour that's from. I also went through half a dozen copies of the vinyl Aqualung because our turntables at the time had tonearms with substantial capacity to erode surfaces they touched.
jackinthegreen: Cream without Eric??? Santana without Carlos?? and not even with a stand-in player.....you're easily pleased, I reckon most people would not be happy to say the least...

smint100: Good Lord, why did no one tell me about the radio.net! I've spent a joyful afternoon in the garden watching the strawberries ripen - I mean, editing a book - and listening to unadulterated Tull. Heaven!
