A belated thank you for the samples MD. I really liked the Black Mamba demo which featured, I think, the Irish bouzouki tuned in DGDG. The song just plays itself on this instrument*. Maybe the bouzouki wasn't used on the recording as it was stymied by the key changes introduced on the band version.
*Don't have one myself but I occasionally make do with my tenor banjo re-tuned with very slack strings.
