I was wondering if anybody knows Jerome Ryan of St Johns Newfoundland Canada. Jerome was a Tull freak and have always wondered how he made out. PM me if you know or are him. Love to connect.
Saw Tull in 73 at the montreal forum and Toronto Maple Leaf Gardens. Saw them again in 2008 in Calgary with my son. What a long strange trip it's been

'long strange trip' is usually the secret language of deadheads,,,of which we have a few, un-closeted, here ( me and Ray for two). Not much crossover between the dead and Tull in terms of musicians, industry types, managers, whatever but I do know that they shared a caterer in the early 80s....not exactly sitting in on each other's sessions but maybe a shared fork or spoon...

Thanks all-there are some similarities, the fans are committed to the bands, in any of it's incarnations, even going to great lengths to see hundreds of shows. and the bands have committed to carry on, despite the toll the tour takes on an old body. ah, the long strange trip? It's probably nothing more than most of you have travelled. It's life and we have to enjoy all the days we have, with friends and family.

I wish you well in trying to get back in touch with him and you never know, someone may read your post and . . . well here's hoping. Cheers Maddog

Last I heard (and that's many years ago) Jerome and his gal pal spent a couple of years as Tull heads, following them on their Passion Play tour and thereafter in North America and western Europe. I had heard he was working for Canada Post in Ottawa.

Hi all, just a quick update-I believe I have tracked him down. would you believe it, a professional photographer and Nepalese trekker. That's a long way from the poor student I knew in the late 60's/early 70's. Another long strange trip.
