nonrabbit, excellent choice! 'Whistle and I'll Come To You' is, in my opinion, the cream of the crop from all the old BBC ghost stories. They don't get much better than this. It's a masterpiece. I've watched it many times over the years. Love the vocal noises and thumb sucking at the end! "Oh no! Oh no! Oh no! Oh no Oh no! Oh no! Oh No! No.". The breakfast scene when he is having his egg is priceless.
Brian.

Brian. oh pure class Brian forgot what a great actor Horden was as well to me it's not about the moving piece of cloth at the end as the build up to the end and the fear that he starts to realise and show. Incredible Give us some more ghost stories please (and not todays news headlines)

without a doubt the two most scariest places I've visited are; Mary King's Close Edinburgh (in fact anywhere underground in Edinburgh) www.realmarykingsclose.com/"Hidden beneath the Royal Mile lies Edinburgh’s deepest secret: a warren of hidden ‘closes’ where real people lived, worked and died. For centuries they have lain forgotten and abandoned…" the other place is in Maddogs territory - Bodmin Gaol in Cornwall www.bodminjail.org/"The original jail was built for King George III in 1779. The Jail you see today was built by the prisoners who brought the 20,000 tons of granite from Bodmin`s “Cuckoo Quarry”. During the First World War the Jail held state papers and the Doomsday book. Visit the cold dank cells....." I visited it in 2003 and they hadn't done much to it other than health and safety requirements hope they haven't "touristed it up" too much. Real "ghosts" from the past - looking at the camera - more poignant than scary - Petticoat Lane London 1901

nonrabbit - that's pretty funny! Never mind cheating spiders who come to say please and politely bend at the knees - that thing looks big enough to bend at the bloody waist! Funny how the guy puts his foot in the measuring basin at the end.
