Incredible - a Turkish 7", of dubious provenance and condition, going on ebay for £95. Just love the spelling error. Oh I don't know!! I don't know if it's cute or weird mind you £95 might settle the dilemma What's Bambi got to do with it? I've no idea what the bambi logo is supposed to signify

On sale on ebay for £900 A Passion Play, edits #8 & #9, all the way from Angola What even with the name in felt tip? There were probably only a handful produced. At the time this was issued in Angola it was still part of the Portuguese empire so I'm guessing it was pressed in Portugal with Angolan labels and sleeve. I've only seen one other copy of this particular issue of the Passion Play single and even the electrocutas site hasn't got it listed. Most African countries pressed only a handful of releases themselves back in the 60's and 70's, and this included most collectable artists. In fact EMI and Phillips, for instance, shipped out their old vinyl presses to south Africa, Zimbabwe and also, so I'm lead to believe, to India in the early 60's and these can be recognised by the triangular push put centres which were used there for some time after the British arm of the EMI empire were using round push out centres. LITP/Driving Song issued in Zimbabwe Also India, together with Argentina and the Phillipines, are possibly the only countries to have issued the early Beatle's singles on 78 rpm due to this strategy by EMI of selling off their redundant presses. How cool is that...if only they had the sense to release a postcard single of postcard day. BTW...why do we have a thread about watches on ebay? I thought most of you were hippies like me and tossed our watches long ago... If only I had, things would be a wee bit different.

Finally went for £453.88 after 77 bids. Tull prices on ebay are certainly holding up well. And before anyone asks, no it wasn't me who won.

Just in case anyone may be tempted, the BBC Transcription Disc at link and currently on offer is a counterfeit copy. The genuine transcription discs of this design have a green band across the centre of the label and a green block behind the logo at the top of the label. jethrotull.proboards.com/thread/174/bbc-transcription-discs
