Sorry that I’m like a week late with my review for the South Shields gig…better late than never!! Well here it goes. The gig was absolutely amazing, it was one of the best Tull concerts that I have ever been to. The support band, Bessie and the Zinc buckets, were great, they really got the audience going with their set. I didn’t really know what to expect from them because I’ve never seen a band that plays rockabilly before but they were actually really good. Next up were Tull and they didn’t dissapoint! Ian’s voice seems to be getting better in my opinion. The setlist was a bit predictable but nevertheless all great songs. The highlight of the gig had to be Farm on the Freeway, Hare in the Winecup and A Change of Horses. I really like the new songs, not sure why Ian doesn’t include Tea with the Princess in Tull’s set anymore. I was stood right at the front so had a great view of the band and the sound was really good too. The guys looked like they were really enjoying themselves which made the gig a whole lot better for the audience. Overall the concert was awesome and I really enjoyed it, it was well worth travelling over 3 hours each way! ;D

Customs House said that there were 2,362 tickets taken on the night but to me the venue looked pretty packed. Tull went down really really well, they had the crowd singing along to most of the songs they played. As for the audience, well they were just brilliant too and very responsive! ;D
Oh i forgot to post the setlist, here it is:
Nothing Is Easy Beggars Farm A New Day Yesterday Songs From The Wood Thick As A Brick Bourée Hare In The Wine Cup A Change Of Horses Cross Eyed Mary Dharma For One Farm On The Freeway Whistler (excerpt) My God Aqualung Locomotive Breath (With weather balloons)
