I suppose that there is a well founded argument that the internet has all but killed off the old style “inky” fan magazines. In the case of Jethro Tull, "A New Day" must count as one of the longest surviving magazines of its type, possibly equal or better than ones serving other artists.
It is a pleasure therefore to scan the covers of some of the other Jethro Tull magazines, which in most cases no longer exist, onto the Forum and to remind folks what went on before the world wide web. One of these magazines was “The Jolly Jethro”, produced by Pete McHugh of the Electrocutas web site. Having been in contact with him over many years, both as a friend and as a contributor to his site, he has given me permission to post the covers of “The Jolly Jethro” that I have, for all to see on the Forum and also to reproduce images here from his Electrocutas web site.
So shortly I’ll start to post the cover artwork, time permitting !

Wow...those would be a nice read on a long flight or restful evening at home...wish i had them in hand! Pete McHugh huh? I completely imagined Electrocutas to be a German guy...what with the german race car driver links on his site and general aura of order, thoroughness and organization I had a menatl pic of a Kraftwerk looking type guy who loves Tull and got ahead of the pack on computers early...no matter...he has a great site and belongs in a Mt Rushmore of Tull fans...it is only via his site...for some inexplicable reason, that I can access our site from work...and for that, I am grateful and my bosses can suck rocks!
