Wildlife Photographer of the Year - People's Choice Just been looking at these stunning photographs and wishing I could take just one as good as these. www.bbc.co.uk/news/in-pictures-38083691My favourite is this one. The kingfisher frequented this natural pond every day, and Mario Cea used a high shutter speed with artificial light to photograph it. He used several units of flash for the kingfisher and a continuous light to capture the wake as the bird dived down towards the water.

The latest New Day...when not trashing online Tull fun...had the good sense to give kudos to our friend Ash. I smiled to see that ! I will admit to finding it very strange the attitude of AND to online Tull sites bearing in mind that AND and its editor have separate online facebook pages which no doubt get more than their fair share of trolls and so called fans only out to cause trouble. The expression "people in glass houses . . . ." springs to mind. Well done to Ash for his quality contributions to AND.

I've been watching Durham CCC, my favourite cricket team over the last 3 days and we won the game against Sussex yesterday and I'm glad I took my little camera with me because (for once) I managed to actually get some photo's of wickets falling.

Hope you did not go today Bunkerfan.. they seem to have really struggled. Mind you I don't know how they could play in the gales we have had.

Thank goodness I didn't go all the way down to Grace Road, Leicester to witness Durham's worst ever batting performance I'll still be there at The Emirates Riverside next week to watch Durham say goodbye to Paul Collingwood. I did manage to video his dismissal at last week's win over Sussex and hope he goes out with a ton under his belt next week
