Beautiful pictures! That cliff has seen a bit of erosion in the passing decades. On a side note, hurry up and win that lottery would ya! Ok Ron. I had one number last night so I was only five numbers short of the jackpot. If it increases by one number per week I'll be sorting that trip to Philly in five weeks. Ron Keep this to yourself, my lottery plan is working, I had 2 numbers last night so it should be 3 next week if my plan works. Cheers John

I was out walking in the countryside near my home yesterday when I came across this grizzly scene. Apparently the mole catcher or 'mole executioner' if you prefer gets paid per mole killed so he hangs them on the fence to prove to the farmer how many he's killed. Sorry if I've put you off your Sunday lunch.

My plan was to get up at 3am to watch the lunar eclipse and get a few photo's. Sadly I slept in and didn't wake up till 5am but I took this photo anyway.

The bus probably takes at least twice as long.

I went to Durham City last night to see The Lumiere and apart from getting wet it was a fantastic sight. Here's a few of my snaps. This place ROCKS ! I could really enjoy this kind of display in the TULL Cavern Hmmm?

A little slideshow I put together from my photo's of The Lumiere. At least I didn't have much trouble choosing a tune to go with it.

Good Morning weathercock That's an angry weathercock. Love it. Love this song and subject. Love Ian for looking at a weathercock and writing so well about it. Good morning Weathercock: How did you fare last night? Did the cold wind bite you, Did you face up to the fright When the leaves spin from October And whip around your tail? Did you shake from the blast, Did you shiver through the gale? Give us direction; the best of goodwill, Put us in touch with fair winds. Sing to us softly, hum evening's song. Tell us what the blacksmith has done for you. Do you simply reflect changes In the patterns of the sky, Or is it true to say the weather heeds The twinkle in your eye? Do you fight the rush of winter; Do you hold snowflakes at bay? Do you lift the dawn sun from the fields And help him on his way? Good morning Weathercock: make this day bright. Put us in touch with your fair winds. Sing to us softly, hum evening's song. Point the way to better days we can share with you.

As soon as I saw this my camera was out and the song was in my head

I googled - very impressive. My aunt and uncle did a tour a few years ago of the South and they loved it. Must ask if they went here.
