Why these abbreviations? Jethro Tull, Thick As A Brick, becomes... TAAB... TAAB? Or A Passion Play... APP... JT... TAAB 2??? Aqualung can't be abbreviated, and that's great... I mean Aqualung = A?? Fathom Events October 30 Only LINK The Invisible Man & The Wolf Man Double Feature Universal is celebrating the 90th Anniversary of their Classic Monsters with a special double feature of the original The Invisible Man and The Wolf Man! Plus, fans will get an exclusive tour of the Universal Studios lot!
The signature adaptation of H.G. Wells’ The Invisible Man stars Claude Rains as a mysterious scientist who discovers a serum that makes him invisible. Covered by bandages and dark glasses, the scientist arrives at a small English village and attempts to hide his amazing discovery. He soon realizes, however, that the same drug which renders him invisible is slowly driving him insane and capable of committing unspeakable acts of terror. Directed by James Whale, the horror classic features groundbreaking special effects by John P. Fulton that inspired many of the techniques that are still used today.
"Even a man who is pure in heart and says his prayers by night may become a wolf when the wolfbane blooms and the autumn moon is bright." In 1941, The Wolf Man introduced the world to a new Universal movie monster and the mythology of the werewolf was redefined forever. Featuring a heartbreaking performance by Lon Chaney Jr. and groundbreaking make-up by Jack Pierce, this story of a cursed man who transforms into a deadly werewolf when the moon is full has not only become a masterpiece of the horror genre, but of all time.

Jon Lord's "Concert for Group and Orchestra" staged last night, November 5th, at Győr Arena (Hungary) was awesome followed by a wonderful after show, meeting again with the legend Bruce Dickinson - Iron Maiden 💙 and the one and only Roger Glover. Their bandmates delivered an incredible performance, featuring John O'Hara (keyboards), Kaitner Z. Doka (guitar), Bernhard Welz (drums), and the beautiful Győr Philharmonic Orchestra, brilliantly conducted by M. Paul Mann. An unforgettable night! 🤘🔥 LINK

Oakman Group has revealed the former food store on Packhorse Road in Gerrards Cross will become a new pub called the Journeyman before summer 2023.The group says the pub will be named after a reference to Gerrards Cross in the Jethro Tull song of the same name. The group says it also plans to spend £4.5 million revamping the Grand Junction in Buckingham High Street, increasing the number of covers to 185, installing a pizza oven and a Josper grill - a form of hybrid grill and oven.
The work on the Grand Junction is due to be completed by April 2022.
It is thought around 60 new jobs will be created once the pubs are open.
The Oakman Group is now looking for investors who would want to buy shares in the company, meaning they would own a part of the two new pubs.

You are correct. Ian and his family lived for a long time at Pophleys in Radnage which is near Stokenchurch. Beaconsfield and High Wycombe are south west of Radnage. Ian also owned the Strathaired Estate on The Isle of Skye at the same time which is close to Dun Ringill.

I believe that Putin believes that he can attack at least with tactical nuclear weapons against most of the European countries… Then they will probably send a message to America to sit tight… If they don’t… they will send nuclear bombs against America… America will then probably back down, because if they retaliate it will be suicide… I believe that he will do this soon… Then we just have France and Great Britain to retaliate, but if they do, they will be destroyed… I believe that The Russian Federation will win this coming war… We are in great danger right now, and this may be the last words that you will hear from me… I have tried to get the family to move to the country side… But they won’t listen… My ex has a house that we could try to escape to, but will it help? I believe that our only hope is if the Russians themselves assassinate Putin, but that will probably not happen… I'm sorry to be so pessimistic... Russia is playing a very dangerous game... That's for sure... May God protect us all… Me too. I tried to get my wife, two years ago, to move somewhere nondescript. Well, some people you just can't reach.

I don't like it either. It reminds me of newspeak. It seems as though everything is becoming abbreviated, as time goes by. I write letters, stamp them, and mail them, still. People love getting them, but no one writes back. They just pick up the phone, "Hey, I got your letter." I write emails and people send a quick text message back. I write Thank You notes and send them. I think that is all a lost art. Life has become too fast for most people. I'm not sure where humans think they are headed.

I have a friend… My best friend, and we were talking about Jethro Tull… He’s more into Pink Floyd, but is also a Jethro Tull fan… It just so happened that I had a epiphany… (It’s about time that I make that T-Shirt with the words written loud and clear: “Why am I so stupid?” Anyway… I suddenly realized that Tull is so much more that the music and the lyrics… Here is a list that I have made… The music The lyrics The studio albums The Live albums The interviews The books about Jethro Tull The fan magazine A New Day The art on the covers The different music stiles The Jethro Tull Forum The many bootlegs… The singing, but also the spoken words… The many covers of the songs… The many previously unreleased songs… There may be many more aspects of Tull… but it’s really amazing… Please add to the list… The downy little sidies

Random question off the top of my head Has there been any band/musician of 40 + years standing made a new album that surpassed any of their early offerings? Graceland (1986), surpassed all his earlier albums by what, 20 million in sales, I'm thinking.
