Hi Colin:
Thank you ever so much for inviting me back. I have missed everyone. All these links that you posted are great sites, thank you. I haven't been to any Tull concerts since last year, but I just ordered the Sweatshirt off the official site for the 40th anniversary. A nice (expensive) keepsake. Hope you are well.
Regards
Silken...

I did as you suggested and when I went to Properties to copy the URL of the characature that I wanted for my Avatar, I had renamed it when I saved it, so thats the name that comes up. Unfortunately, it will not upload, so I guess I can't use it Silken...

Cool, good find. Is the quality of these recordings any good or are they ropey copied from VHS stuff? What does everyone think about having a bootleg area of this forum to discuss unoffical recordings (and the pros and cons of having them too)? There wont be any selling of course, but I'm sure most of us have picked up a few along the way.

I've no idea about the quality of some of them but ELECTROCUTAS will probably have more information. Favourite bootleg(s) thread would be a nice addition to the site I'm sure.

Guess I've answered my own question as this link explains more about the 1 hour show. www.prx.org/pieces/14705Is this radio company the US equivalent of the British BBC?

Mechandising can be obtained from www.chesterhopkins.co.uk/A true story. I decided to treat myself to a Tull fleece so I ordered one and waited in anticipation and sure enough a week later it arrived. last friday. Opened the package and found they had sent me a . . . . . . Cliff Richard 50th aniversary one by mistake So, I phoned the telephone no. on the site and left a message that they'd sent me the wrong one and low and behold Chester Hopkins phoned me on Sunday full of apologies. Anyway, to cut the story short I sent back the CR one and received today the correct fleece together with a 40th anniversary Tull polo shirt by way of apologies. Nice to have a company which acts quickly and does not hesitate to rectify errors, after all we're all human ;D

Good timing, my old Tull fleece is now falling to bits (but was excellent quality and was just worn to death!) and they've not had one on the site for a while.
I notice it says the Tull gold records do actually play, but not Tull! Has anyone got one? Who does it play?

Thanks for the info re. PRX. Yes the takklesoft site is excellent, not only for the covers but the info it contains. If I'm researching a bootleg I always consult it, together with the ministry of information site and dear old electrocutas. Between them I can usually find what I'm after.

Hi, Mad Dog - As it happens, I live about an hour and a half away from Ventura. And there is indeed a Tull street. Don't know when I will have a free moment to see it - or find out when it was incorporated - but it's there! For some reason, I can't get the pic to load, but I'll keep trying...

There is a serious Jethro Tull fan in Holland, named Gerrit DeGues...or something close to that, who managed to make the town he lives in change the little cul-de-sac by his home to 'Tull-Laan'...he sent me a photo, years ago.

Exactly, same here - those are definitely the big three in terms of raw info . I wish Laufi's bootleg review page were bigger - though i'm certainly not complaining - he's done so much for the world of Tull. There is a serious Jethro Tull fan in Holland, named Gerrit DeGues...or something close to that, who managed to make the town he lives in change the little cul-de-sac by his home to 'Tull-Laan'...he sent me a photo, years ago. Hi steel. I've known Gerrit now for over 20 years and as you rightly say he had his road changed to Tull or Tull-Laan. I too have a picture of it in the archive but it might take a while to find! Interestingly, I visited Gerrit in the Netherlands many years ago and he has an extensive collection of Tull and Tull related articles from newspapers, magazines etc. and has also been on the radio in his home land promoting Tull. I'll email him this weekend and invite him to join this forum.

How international Tull network cool is that ? Hope to hear Gerrit is well...I live on 'Fall' Avenue...easily changed to Tull with a bit of paint, no? In San Francisco there is a 'Baker' street, an 'Anderson' street and countless streets with 'Crest' in the name ( the town is built on hill, ya know).
