www.southsidesox.com/2021/10/30/22754304/gamethread-astros-at-atlanta-world-series-game-4Gamethread: Astros at Atlanta (World Series Game 4)The Braves played Houston to sleep in Game 3. By Year of the Hamster Oct 30, 2021, 6:36pm CDT Even after the younger Ian went deep with a no-hitter last night, some of us prefer other Ian Andersons. David Redfern/RedfernsHey, some of us prefer our Ian Andersons with a flute, but it was hard to argue with the one on the mound for Atlanta last night. With both clubs severely depleted of arms, Anderson gave his club a huge shove, with no-hit ball. When the “controversy” surrounding your team is whether you should have left a starter in who’s throwing a no-hitter, not a heartbreaking loss or weird lineup decision, things are looking good. And things are looking good for Atlanta, despite welcoming a former “world leader” to the ballgame tonight, where he will undoubtedly be serenaded with boos, profane cheering, and probably some chop sprinkled in. Can’t wait for even more things to detract from baseball itself while the sport plays on its brightest stage. Zack Greinke, who has pitched just a handful of innings in the past month, will get the start of Houston, who will be hoping for a miracle, three-inning effort. Atlanta will run out some form of opener/bullpen game. Who’s pitching? Well, if the vaunted bats of the Astros don’t wake up (hmm ... a dead offensive game outside of Houston, huh?) the hosts could run out Cecil Upshaw, Danny Frisella, Maximino Leon and Pablo Torrealba and take a commanding, 3-1 lead in the Series.

I once dreamt a new Jethro Tull album cover, but upon reflection it wasn't new, it was an inversion of an existing Tull cover. I saw a solid black cover with the band name and album name in raised digital red letters, kind of an inversion of the totally white cover style for "Repeat - The Best Of Jethro Tull - Vol.2". And I'm still looking for the Tull song I'm sure I heard on the radio once, a song with the lines "It doesn't matter who you are, it doesn't matter what you are", or something like that, and I've heard every single Tull song released and that particular song is not released by Tull. It was not a live song, it was a studio recording. Still stumped on that one. Maybe there's a band out there who in the late 70's or early 80's released a song with flute and a vocalist imitating Ian's style? I was a big Tull fan then, and I was squirming in my hair cutting seat thinking "what the hell is that, I've never heard that". It was a very well-performed tune. I should have contacted the radio station. Confused in Seattle. Have you heard “ It All Trickles Down?” It’s a somewhat obscure Tull song that has some lyrics that could vaguely be associated with the phrase you quoted...something like “would be the one, the tea on toast, would be the one the Holy Ghost. Would be the Mad Jack to your Queen of Spades” etc. Jethro Tull - It All Trickles Down 19993,356 viewsJul 13, 2016 Remy Tena 23.8K subscribers From Dot Com album.1999. Info: to promote this album Jethro Tull released an EP this month: "It All Trickles Down" in the UK only. The release is limited to 5000 copies only. It also features edited versions of "DotCom" and "Bends Like A Willow". A copy from this was given to me by a good friend who works in a known Catalan radio during the promotion of the album Dot Com in 1999. Lyrics: It All Trickles Down There's a dragon-tail swishing behind tonight. Poison's rising. I'm up too tight. I might not be responsible for the things that I might do. My tanks are full and my dogs are loose. Bees in my bonnet. Stew in juice. Sauté-simmer, shallow-fry when it all trickles down to you. It all trickles down. Yes it all trickles down. Well it all trickles down, from me to you. My day was rough, don't care about yours. I put muddy feet on your polished floor. A goose to cook, a job that I'm well qualified to do. And it all trickles down. Yes it all trickles down. Well it all trickles down from me to you. Would be the one, would be the tea on toast. Would be the Son, would be the Holy Ghost. If this is not believable then you've just had one too few. Would be the mad Jack to your Queen of Spades. A little Mac in your burger trade. One dead-cert consequence -- it all trickles down to you. And it all trickles down. Yes it all trickles down. Well it all trickles down from me to you. There's a dragon-tail swishing behind tonight. Well it all trickles down, from me to you. www.tullianos.com/Best Jethro Tull Forum: jethrotull.proboards.com/Info: Thanks to Cup Of Wonder ?http://www.cupofwonder.com/dotcom.html

popculture.com/music/news/rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame-carmine-appice-slams-the-go-gos-induction/The Go-Go's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame 2021 Slammed by Legendary Rock DrummerBy DANIEL S. LEVINE - October 30, 2021 10:03 pm EDT Vanilla Fudge drummer Carmine Appice isn't too happy about The Go-Go's finally joining the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In a new interview with Forbes, Apice called the most successful all-female group in rock history a "wimpy" act that's not Rock and Roll. The Go-Go's will be inducted into the Rock Hall on Saturday, alongside Todd Rundgren, Foo Fighters, Jay-Z, Carole King, and Tina Turner. Appice, who also played with Jeff Beck and Ozzy Osbourne during his long career, admitted that it "doesn't matter" that Vanilla Fudge isn't included in the Rock Hall, but still called it a shame. "You've got Rod Stewart in RRHOF twice, Jeff Beck in twice. We influenced them, and we're not in. It's really a shame," Appice told Forbes. "'You Keep Me Hanging On' was in Quentin Tarantino's last movie. It quadrupled our royalties. Also, we're in Mad Men, the final episode of The Sopranos - many movies and TV shows." The Modern Drummer Hall of Fame member went on to say that he does not think they should call it the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but instead the "Musical Hall of Fame." The Rock Hall has inducted rappers and country singers, as well as "wimpy" acts who are "not rock and roll," as Appice said. When asked if he could name a group that is "wimpy," he brought up The Go-Go's. "Show me the list, and I'll tell you. You know what I'm saying. I thought it was supposed to be by influence," Appice said. "I think The Go-Go's are going in. I mean, c'mon, what's their influence? Jethro Tull's not in, Vanilla Fudge, Mountain - so many bands that influenced rock and roll aren't in. Kiss is in. They are a combination of Alice Cooper and Cactus. Eddie Van Halen was influenced by Cactus. Cactus should be in there, too. We influenced a lot of people. Is Suzi Quatro in RRHOF? She influenced Joan Jett."

Good morning all I've acquired an original studio tape from the Aqualung Sessions at Island Studios, dated February 1971. I am told the versions of the 5 tracks on this tape are different to those on the final album release. I am currently in the process of having the tape transferred into a digital format. I will post updates on here to keep you all in the loop. Having read the interviews on the Q&A section, I think this may be one of the missing tapes featuring recordings that were scrapped or recorded over on the original multitrack tape. The tape is still held in its original Island Studios cardboard box, clearly listing the client as Chrysalis, Band as Jethro Tull, and date as Feb 1972. I look forward to your comments Best wishes Hi fylingdaleflyer and welcome to the JT Forum The problem I feel that you may have is to find out who actually owns this tape. If it does turn out to be a "lost" session from Aqualung then legally I feel that Ian Anderson should be informed of your find together with information as to how you acquired the tape. Do let us know how you get on.

Ian Anderson is one of the most talented, brilliant, thoughtful, kind, powerful, poets, song writers, muscians, human beings ever to live. You have blessed the lives of millions, Ian, and we thank you. Naa... He is just a great hypnotist: he has mesmerized all of us to believe this.

There is another Jethro-leaks in instagram: a short clip of a video, with beautiful music from the Zealot Gene... Really interesting stuff! It can be seen also from the JT official site. Only problem, it also appeared a comment from the JT staff, saying the music was from the new album, coming out in APRIL 2022... Then this was removed, or I can't find it anymore... But... April? I am getting too old, waiting for the ZG! Maybe I should stop to wait for it, and then, when the record really comes out, it will be a good surprise for me... provided I still will be there to listen to the album. I'm fed up with waiting - think I'll have a little nap

Ian Anderson - Man Of the World33,406 views April 1, 2011 MrGnikap 2.02K subscribers The Jethro Tull's frontman, Ian Anderson plays the flute and sings for a great cover of Peter Green's "Man of the World". Taken fron the album: Rattlesnake Guitar, The Music of Peter Green Yes MD, it's an interesting album that, I bought it when it was released while I was on holiday in Florida. There are a few notable tracks, including a great version of Green Manalishi, by Arthur Brown, a lovely version of Albatross with Paul Jones on harmonica, and a couple of early tunes covered by Rory Gallagher, which may have been the last things he recorded. Well worth a listen. I forgot, Mick Abrahams is on the album too. Ian's version of Man of the World is ok, but personally I really miss Peter Green's guitar solo.... I was lucky enough to see Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac back in the day, especially at the Windsor Jazz & Blues Festival of '67 and our local haunts of The Star in Croydon and the Eden Park Hotel in Beckenham. I always thought he, and Mick Abrahams, were better than than Clapton. Fleetwood Mac - Man Of The World - 2nd version (1969)687,051 views May 25, 2020 Beat-ClubFleetwood Mac are a British-American rock band, formed in London in 1967. They have sold more than 120 million records worldwide, making them one of the world's best-selling bands. In 1998, select members of Fleetwood Mac were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.
Fleetwood Mac was founded by guitarist Peter Green, drummer Mick Fleetwood and guitarist Jeremy Spencer. Bassist John McVie completed the lineup for their self-titled debut album. Danny Kirwan joined as a third guitarist in 1968. Keyboardist Christine Perfect, who contributed as a session musician from the second album, married McVie and joined in 1970. At this time it was primarily a British blues band, scoring a UK number one with "Albatross", and also had other hits such as the singles "Oh Well" and "Man of the World". All three guitarists left in succession during the early 1970s, to be replaced by guitarists Bob Welch and Bob Weston and vocalist Dave Walker. By 1974, all three had either departed or been dismissed, leaving the band without a male lead vocalist or guitarist.
