Hi everyone, I read somewhere on the forum that some people would like to organise a UK Tull convention. I think this is a really good idea and i would like to organise one with help from all of the people on this board. Is anyone with me on this one? Cheers, Rock

That'll be great I'd love to have a nonvirtual conversation about Tull depending when it's planned - I'm out of action this year with an op.

This is great, thanks everyone! We need to think of a suitable location that all of us will be able to get to. Has anyone got any suggestions in which part of the UK we should have it in?

My back garden would be ideal :-) Anywhere close to Motorway links would be fine though.

If we can't get JT, how about the Hamsters at a venue in or very near a hotel so we have accomodation, a bar, meals, a bar, showers, a bar, sightseeing trips to local pubs, an excellent concert and perhaps a bar. Oh and somewhere where we can talk Tull. Not sure where we can do that.

Can you look for a venue near an airport so that people form mainland Europe can come? Wolverhampton sounds good to me, Birmingham International is just 3 train stations away.
(Btw I was in Wolverhamton last week and went to the fun fair in West Park. It was not funny.)

I am sure that if a convention was organised at such a place as the Robin in Bilston We might be able to persuade some bands with Tull vein to attend. I know people involved in these bands below
NWest band and sometimes Tull tribute band Cold flame might be interested. Patrick if you read this what do you think ?
Another N.West band who would probably be happy to play might be Molly bloom featuring Stevie Dundons flute.
Guy Mannings UK band Manning might also be candidates as Guy is also a huge Tull fan

I'll try and find a hotel either near Manchester Airport or Birmingham International Airport to hold the convention at. If i can't find a suitable one then the Robin 2 in Bilston would be a good venue to have the it at. I'll ask Patrick if Cold Flame would like to play at the convention. ;D

If anyone knows Dave Rees from "A New Day" he might be able to offer some names of people who have run them before, as I get the impression reading this thread that people aren't aware it has been done before.

Ste As a former co-organiser of some of them, I can offer assistance on that score. PM me with any questions, etc and we'll take it from there. Cheers
