Outstanding. A few moans from the crowd to 'play something we know' I didn't know half of it but it was all brilliant anyway. Best concert I've been to in ages....well done guys!

Hello Davelebarr and Welcome to the Forum ;D Thanks for posting about the concert glad you enjoyed it. The Pavillion is a good venue size and acoustic wise. Was the place full? Enjoy the Forum

“I’m sure there will be a Jethro Tull release in the future but it won’t be a conventional CD.”OK Ian, get on with it - we're waiting “I’m not a fan of rock music, I never had been,” he admits. “It’s a bit noisy, to be honest. So Steel Monkey and Black Sunday for example aren't rock then? ;D “I think the eclectic nature of our music explains why we have been together so long,”And that's why Tull have a large and varied fan base. Think he's either taking the p1ss out of the reporter or he needs a really good, up-and-coming publicist and advisor.

John O'Hara had to use his smaller piano in Glasgow due to stage size. Also, there were no balloons at Glasgow (there were at Aberdeen and Perth, as well as the "bigger" piano). Wasn't expecting to see the balloons at Glasgow due to the size and layout of the pavillion
Out of the 3 I attended, Glasgow definitely had the best crowd (nothing new there!). For me, Perth was the best hall. Sound quality was just the same at all 3. We got to hear Too Old To Rock n Roll at Aberdeen as well as Birthday card at Christmas. Why play this?, i asked myself. It's March! Glad to say that 1 wasn't played at the other 2. Musically the band are still very tight, and lets face it - to be able to play their instruments the way that they do well into their 60s is incredible. Martin played "Bug" at all 3 and we got a solo from Doane, which as I am a drummer, I thoroughly enjoyed.
For me, Dun Ringill and SFTW just didn't work. IA just can't sing them anymore. Musically, great but I just feel that these 2 songs should never be brought out again.
As for the "play something we know" that was shouted out - to be fair it was a good point. We got The Water Carrier (which I think is a gem) from IA's Secret Language of Birds, also probably not well known was "Eurology", "Bug", "A Change Of Horses" and "Tea With The Princess".
As I have been saying for the past 10 or so years, "I wonder if that's the last time I will see Tull again, they've got to call it a day" I am now saying "see you next time".
