the newcastle gig really echoes all thats been said so far regarding ians voice so i wont go any further. city hall newcastle always is very appreciative of bands and last night was no exception, the band took a standing ovation which they seemed well pleased with. the setlist was much the same as other dates, which was very well delivered and received. Saw the band minus IA arriving in a people carrier with martin driving. they were all very happy to sign autographs and when one fan enquired where the great man was, martin quipped 'he'll be arriving by helicopter!' when the great man did arrive (by taxi) he too signed autographs, he even signed my martin guitar which is now a priceless possession (to me!) as general comment the band showed their virtuosity with ease and the setlist was delivered with a great deal of musical colour and pin sharp precision, as we've come to expect. budapest was excellent as was a change of horses. martin barre seems to get even better as time moves on, his guitar playing was outstanding and the this was shown to great effect with the superb sound balance. I reckon the band enjoyed this gig and the show, bore little resemblance to some of the others reviewed on this site. tull are still a good live act.

The Newcastle gig was the best I've seen Tull play for ages, Ian's voice was better than the last time I saw them. I thought there was a good balance of songs and the playing was as good as ever, nobody can match Ian on flute! Check out my video on youtube. Enjoy! www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HNXVuKcfkc

Hi everyone, I've just been sent this link to a video taken by my mate Danny ( who plays a mean flute ) at the end of the Newcastle concert, I think it's pretty good. Your thoughts please! www.youtube.com/watch?v=4u1Wfw6RDDs
