Having not seen Tull since November 2008 i was really looking forward to this gig. I was even counting down the days to it! I got to the venue at about 7.40 and Saori Jo had already started her set. She is actually a really good musician/singer and i really enjoyed her set.
After a 20 minute break it was time for Tull to come on stage. The set started off with Ian speaking the opening line of Dun Ringill with the seaside noises as the backing sound.
Most of the songs worked really well in the set, not too sure about Songs From The Wood though, it sounded really strange, maybe it was because Ian confused the band by reading the setlist wrong and playing it a song too early. A Change of Horses was excellent, i really like that song, not too sure about John O' Hara playing accordion on it though. Tea with the princess sounded really nice, but where were the words? Martin Barre's Bug is really good and very catchy, i'm really looking forward to hearing it again next week.
Tull finished a great concert with Locomotive Breath featuring the weather balloons!! This is the first Tull gig that i've been to with the balloons, they were awesome! At the end of the gig i managed to get one of the balloons, unfortunately i had to pop it to get it home, oh well.
