Is that Rigsby showing Ian the hotel room at the start? Any stories about Eric Brooks roadmanager? - he looks a character !! Quote of the last 41 years courtesy of Mr James Anderson - Ian's father. "Life would be very dull (for us) without Jethro Tull"

Hello, new to this forum but old Tull fan (since 1969) from Germalands, there's no better start to post two links to videos from this very year. I think they have not been posted here before: www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rfvDEn9yGcwww.youtube.com/watch?v=1iZDpCogsrQThey are from the French TV show La Jaconde. Glenn said they were recorded 30th September 1969. Enjoy!

Thank you, too! I've been around here for along time as a guest, but I thought now it's time to join. Would have been a shame, if nobody would see those wonderful funny 69 videos from France.

From the 1969 awards video, Thunderclap Neuman gets my vote as "most likely to sell another album in somebody's weird future cause he's weird lookin' right now." .

Promise you're including current (barely) tour's waltz milliseconds at the end of part one of TAAB. Ian and Ryan's animated dance during the classical music interludes never fails to blow me away.

First my appreciation to the previous post "Swing In Full Documentary" by The Stingray Secret. A small contribution, although the video has already been posted, this is in HD 1080p a few days ago I received this video from the Rockpalast Archive, the format is in HD, and a type of file called ts, I had never worked with ts files and it was difficult to upload to youtube, I finally got it. This is the result, the file is now a 1080p HD mp4 8.65 GB for 29:38 min of footage

Some silent 8mm film of Tull playing Houston Music Hall. Watching Ian might just wear you out. Great find John. Most probably December '69 The Ministry states: 11/12/69 Music Hall Houston, Tx. USA Two shows Support: Joe Cocker, Fleetwood Mac. Poor sound from the venue's PA.From wikipedia: Houston Music Hall was a music venue located in Houston, Texas. The venue opened in November of 1937. It was located at 801 Bagby Street, near downtown. It was built in conjunction with the Sam Houston Coliseum, which was adjacent to the hall. The hall and coliseum complex replaced the Sam Houston Hall, which was a wooden structure that had been erected on the site for the 1928 Democratic National Convention and torn down in 1936.
The hall was demolished in 1998. The former site of the building was redeveloped into the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts, which opened its doors in 2003.

ianc7uk 1 week ago "The Blind Faith", "The Jethro Tull" LOL. There was no surer way to define yourself as a square in 1969 than by putting a superfluous definite article before a band name!

Doesn't Ian look like his dad now. If you haven't got time to watch the whole documentary here's a snippet where it starts off with Ian being filmed setting fire to a parking ticket. Naughty boy.

Notice the drums with 'J H' on them... Johnny Hallyday Show 1969 Feelin' groovy again thanks to this cool video from Sir Remy (TULL 50) Now correct me if I'm wrong According to facts Iommi only ever appeared in The Rolling Stones extravaganza thingy - in that case is this Barre on this video ? French TV 1969 Dear girl, I would not have known that was all 220 sweating pounds of Lancelot visually until about the 1.28 mark I think it was. In fact I think the guitar he is playing looks pretty similar to the one I saw elsewhere that maybe Maddog put up here yesterday, apparently available for sale, and I think long having passed to a different owner. I for one consider it highly irksome that one of the handful of possible discussion points for Tull to the world at large is that Tony Iommi was a member for half a minute, I can think of few less engaging instrumentalists, though I probably would not want to be reminded of others, say Joe Satriani or Eddie Van Halen, the of course annual drag of their name thru the mud at Grammy time, David Palmers sex change, etc. Added to that, I think that is the exquisite video from the Johnny Hallyday show, who's date of broadcast I believe cements it as being the ruddy cheeked highly pinchable Martin. 1967, Paris, French actor Johnny Hallyday on the set of The Great Chase. Such a cool post Jim You know the five years from 1968 to 73 were probably the most exciting for me - a late baby boomer ( Bernie, Jim etc) I was influenced as young teenager by all the goings on in the late 60's and jumped right in at the tail end of the shenanigans in the early 70's
