Aauugghh, the dreaded cut-off! Far too short, sniff.
11 minutes of Brick, same show.
Does this entire show exist anywhere? Or just these little snippets?

Zephyr, thanks so much for posting these clips.
That second clip - near the end when John Evan starts to play at 7'50...classical piano introduction and then the rock song starts at 8'33. How about that, eh? Love Martins guitar sound and the simplicity of the beat. I have wanted to know more about that instrumental for years. I bought a VHS tape from a trader some time ago and have never been able to locate it again. Lost in the attic somewhere! Anyway, the tape I had, I think it was this concert and I was sure that it had a little bit more of this song on it - Martin breaks into a solo. I might be wrong though - my memory might be cheating me.
Does anyone know more about this instrumental and if it exists as a full version anywhere?

I am by no means an expert in this field, but I learn quickly and I dig well. So this morning I went in search of more. What we're after is the 45 minutes of satellite feed, and it's out there. There was a 5-part set on 'tube, but it got yanked by EMI a few weeks ago. OK, try another tack. Found it, got it, watched it. Damn, same ending. Seems like they overran the feed timeslot and it just went poof, leaving us with no visual conclusion to that piece. *pout*

A Masterpiece everyone ought to know...By Ian Anderson, Jethro Tull Traduz.

I will guess those guys are excited about the new Boston or Fleetwood Mac record. I will say I have no recollection of myself or anyone else wearing one of the bastard things, but I suppose it was a very long time ago.

Honest to God Patti no. My seventies affectations were the large ill fitting Aqualung coat, stage boots like Ian's circa 72 rarely worn out of sheer embarrassment, even in 73 or 4 I knew some things were just plain wrong, but I had to have them like no other clothing article, a long plaid coat similar to Ian's 72 one, a sort of english cabbie hat, a frank sinatra hat. never wore tie dye, big collar shirts, purple bell bottoms. blue work shirts and tight blue jeans, gym shoes were the uniform of the day

However I wore flared jeans, velvet kaftans, cheesecloth tops, afghan coats, lace shawls and all of them in weird combinations. It was all right if you were in the thick of it ie London or Haight Ashbury but a bit awkward if you were in the sticks or a city that was a bit behind the times. I remember getting on a bus once heading into town with a long black velvet dress, my friend (art student) painted a dagger on my neck with blood dripping from the tip and I covered my head/face with what I used to wear to church on a Sunday - a black lace mantilla - that little ensemble caused a few stares and catcalls on a dull night in the early 70's ;D However not as bad as the time I wore a full length kaftan and a black afro wig - talk about Austin powers ......oh god how embarrassing

During the 1970’s my older brother had a stack of vinyl ( Tull ,Focus ,Yes Floyd ,Moody Blues and yes Roxy Music ) to name but a few. He also had an ITT stereo, none of which I was allowed to touch, play or look at!! He played Tull constantly and to be honest ( as a 13 year old ) didn’t interest me much as I had other things on my mind – mostly Debbie Harry.
Then out of the blue he dragged me along to London to see ‘ the best band on earth’. I was hooked – totally stunned. I taped HH onto my portable radio/cassette player direct from the speakers ( remember REC/Play button at the same time ) and played it non stop for months. Two days before my 14th birthday I watched the live show on TV from Madison.
Anyway that was my real intro to Tull land and some 75/80 shows later I’m still with them.
Sorry to bore you with!! But I feel all nostalgic this Monday morning.

This video was made for German t.v. which had the right audience for cool music. The way it was made by lip synching is slightly a let down, however the way Ian hams it up is excellent!

I met Debby Harry in Hamburg and she gushed sincerely about how much she admired Ian and his then manager Gerd...said she loved the music and thought of Ian as a genius, gentleman and very cool and funny guy.
At the end of the Mouse Police video on of the other videos offered for next is a truly live Velvet Green from that era....utterly stunning....So OWD ? How long did it take to get from HH to APP ? I always feel that anyone's Tull history should also include their Passion Play history !

I was at University and my brother taped every Tull album for me to listen as students do F*** all. I really got into Benefit and MITG at that time as well but APP after many a listen finally got me by the B**** ( excuse the pun ) As you know its been my fave ever since and a masterpiece of 'modern' music Onepassionduck

I have several videos of 'Rock and Pop' from Germany and had never seen this! Thank you very much for sharing! The clothes that dresses John Glascock, reminds me of the one used in photo shoots Chateau Desaster Ian clothing is clearly the same as used in the concert via satellite '78

Sounds like someone who never got high and dislikes Hippies too...(Ian Anderson) ;D
