My Brother has just emailed me to tell me he heard "My God" played on 'Countrywise' if he's right I'll forward his prize to him ;D Sorry! I've been away down in Kent on a gig, so am tardy in replying! Yup - the acoustic guitar intro to 'My God' featured from 27.27 to about 27.53 (third segment?) - and you can't get to it without the bloomin player having to play all the ads! I rarely use itvplayer cause of this - it's totally frustrating! The odd thing is, after playin those first seconds of it, it segways into a different acoustic guitar piece that almost pretends it's part of the same piece. I find that strange, cause there was still a deal of the track to go (on acoustic guitar) before the vocals would have started - so why use such a short snippet and then carry on with summat else? anyhoo - Tull snippets still to be found on mainstream TV - that's a start, at least! I bet Bouree tops the list of IA songs used.

Well, there was one here on BBC in the North East of England in the 1970's and 80's called 'Looks Natural' presented by Tom Kilgour that used Bouree as the theme tune but, I bet there's loads more out there.

Well Patti, you know that's going to be dead easy for a Steeleye Span fan of decade's standing. Bowie came in to play, if I recall right, alto sax on a remake of To Know Him Is To Love Him, doubtlessly the throwaway track on the album. Not at all a buyer of the Bowie canon, and do keep that Diamond Dog away from me or I will damn sure behead it. Drug addled twit with lips pursed just so. Ian was the production consultant. However, this track off the same record, Drink Down The Moon, performed in very recent years, is a much better example of the quality of much of the material on that record. And not sure I have seen a better performance by a female vocalist in any genre in recent years, Maddy is just splendid here, and the entire relatively current version of the band is just spot on. Ken Nicol on guitar left a year ago, not sure if he has been replaced, I, for one, would love to see the position offered to Maart. youtu.be/ugomHQ70F2w

I swear I ask these questions only to find out myself maybe I should broaden the topic into questions about life

Right, cuz all of Europe is a Disneyland production...I knew that all along: colorful native costumes, charming ethnic proclivities, short people and, of course, rides galore; ferries, TGVs, funiculars....the fun never ends...you must be as tall as Bobo the clown to go on the Amsterdam ride....

What happened when Ian had an encounter with a cliff? Oh No! He didn't sing a duet with him did he. I don't think so. I'm guessing he shoved a pram over it. Not Cliff Richard, I mean the Cliffs of Dover. ;D

You are correct stevep and I would like to say that you won the prize of a deluxe not quite off the press Aqualung remastered set however I'd be lying - no prizes here I'm afraid. more on Ian's encounter with "The Botox One"* from a Classic Rock interview 2008 Anderson: I was at a Cliff Richard concert last year.I have great admiration for his vocal abilities. He has become a better singer as he’s got older and I think he’s always stayed well within his capabilities. It’s not what I wanted to do but I rather admire him for his abilities and longevity. I remember confronting Cliff in his underpants at a TV show three or four years ago for a lady who sometimes mends my torn garments, a local seamstress in the village who’s a big Cliff fan. I thought I’d get an autograph! So I knocked on his dressing room door. I knew he was on next so I was aware I could be intruding. He opened the door a crack and said: “Oh, come in, come in.” And I slipped in through the door and realised it was really weird! Here I am aged 57, and Cliff must be 62, 63, whatever (he’s 68) and he’s totally unabashed in his underpants and getting ready to go on in front of 20 million people on German television. Life is so full or rich and great surprises!" * I have no proof

I was a bit worried that first prize would be a visit to see Sir Cliff in his underwear Here's another quizz question? There is a link between Tull and Tunisia. Any ideas?

Wow...that's a toughie! Is Martin a distant relative of recently deposed dictator Siad Barre or is it just proximity in the Encylopedia ?

No nothing to do with: - Revolutions though I guess replacing the old regime might be relevant. - The fact that both are close in the encyclopaedia (I had not that thought of that one). - The strange hats that Martin often wears. - Weird and wonderful instruments. - Dave Pegg's never-ending tan

Wasn't The Life of Brian filmed in Tunisia and if my memory serves me correctly, the band or IA were mentioned in the credits as contributing by way of financial backing ? Something along those lines anyway.

Good guess - though not the right answer. Probably best that I give a hint. It is to do with someone that has played with Tull on a number of occasions who has also been involved with foreign music.....
