It's too early I hear you cry! I know but it's such a good song. Jethro Tull comprised of Ian Anderson (flute, guitar, voice), Martin Barre (electric guitar), Dave Pegg (bass guitar) and Dave Mattacks (drums) performing A Christmas song during their A Little Light Music tour in Mannheim, Germany in 1992.

hi! Im the girl who, on your concert in greece at the acropol theatre- working at the production office- yoy took and dress me up as a waitress, with a botlle of wine. Please , i would like to know if there is a video taken from that moment, which was one of the most unforgetable moments in my life. Now, i am a mother of three kids, and my children would be very moved if they were able to see this video. So i would like to know if i have any chance to live this moment again and also share it with my kids. looking forward for your answer. happy new year. yours, anna

Have only watched about the first 2 minutes of this but Ian's comment about Martin at about the 1.50 mark is a signifigant part of how he has held me in his sway for all these years. Who the f**k else thinks of things like that to say off the top of their heads? I mean, maybe somebody, certainly Garcia and Lennon could be very engaging and funny interview subjects but I still mark Ian as a stand alone in this regard. Well actually returning to this a couple minutes later, there is someone, but talk about a fast lane. But a similar degree of aplomb and worldliness and grade one humor may be found from Peter O Toole, but...nice company.

I thnk it's just a natural wit combined with high intelligence which is great but the downside can be boredom and a slighly patronising attitude.... at times. Aquarius A frustrating day ahead.................

I hear you Patti but even that patronizing attitude I have seen used to marvelous effect on those old Rockline call in shows in the USA, thinking specifically of the one's I think from 89 and 93, that I still have on cassette. Several of the callers were fine, sort of trainspotter types like myself but not to over the top in their praise of Ian, which he sometimes does not take kindly, (unless its a woman) others he does. However each of these shows featured calls from individuals who seemed fairly addled. I definitely recall the guy who mentions having been in Korea and that "the Koreans really love ya'll." Ian pipes in with "does anybody love the Koreans? You've gotta love somebody". Peggy offers up his wobbler of "they make good table tennis bats" Ian comes back with "Lets hear it for the Koreans". Doubtless the poor guy on the other end was a little baffled. I recall the one in 93 Ian was claiming to be a doctor through alot of it, greeting callers with stuff like "What's your problem" as in, he's a doctor, he can help you, also announcing that, "the glove is on." And I do get how he might take this tact with that percentage of the callers who are just this side of foaming at the mouth, that coupled with having been exposed to fanaticism for decades, I do get it. Those and various other radio things like Howard Stern have been available at this or that download site, certainly dime, and really are worth a listen, particularly those Rocklines, borderline hysterical in parts.

Totally agree Ray (sounds like your baseball commentators that the Simpsons parody) Ian's put downs are very funny and his "withering looks" too. I think it was you who said once that on the Letterman show (?) his look when Letterman mentioned Nessie was classic !!

No...Ray actually stuck up for David L on that...I'm the one who proposed death by torture for Letterman for making an inane comment about Nessie when Ian mentioned Scotland as current home.....Ian just looked hate at him and said...'.uh...well...yes, I drive by Loch Ness.'

What is wrong with this image?... Wrong sized guitar Good guess, but it is something else. I've seen this guitar a few times before. Maybe Ian is in front of a mirror? guitar is on the wrong side LOL ;D Remy is correct. Ian is right handed and this would be a reversed image. Well done amigo The countdown to Palau de la Musica is less than 3 days!

Fricking Remy you are a genius! Featuring the economic but highly precise drum stylings of Dave Mattacks. Do he and Peggy form a potent rhythm section for the interpretation of, particularly early, though very much re worked material from their early years? Omg yes. My mouth was hanging open during the instrumental break in LITP and by the time they got to Beggars Farm I was in full Tullgasm.
