Haven't thought about it too deeply, yet, but off the top of my head....has there ever been a less Tull-like song than 'Truck Stop Runner'?

'Thinking around corners' was one of the next few that came to mind ( along with both mangos) after truck stop runner.....the more i think about this...the more most tull songs sound like tull to me...including diversions like the under wraps era or even the bluesy/poppy early stuff ( sunshine day). If Ian is singing---it sounds like Tull

It's true...'Dancer' sent a lot of casual listeners running to the Dire Straits bin to look for the new release.

Can't believe that I'm agreeing with Tommie, but I would have to say Move On Along

I'm going to think about this one but it's the weekend - no homework. Sir ! I think "Thinking round corners" is very "Tullish" - it reminds me very much of of some of "Too Old to Rock and Roll" (The album) with the playful flute riffs... Most of Under Wraps sounds very unlike Tull, IMHO - it's an album I like, but find it a bit overlong on CD. In fact when I bought it on cassette tape and played it in the car on the way home, a friend I was with just said, "It doesn't sound like Jethro Tull." "This Is Not Love" doesn't sound like Tull much. It doesn't even sound like Martin Barre on guitar - it sounds like that horrible guitar sound Yes in the 1990s had.

Apart from Mango . . . the least Tullish song in my book is Truck Stop Runner. Can't get my aged head around that one.

Coincidentally I was chatting to my youngest about music ( age 19) we bond over music - we don't bond over money. Anyway he asked me the ultimate question - What is it I like about Tull so by way of explanation I replied (sorry) that I was always pleased with the unexpected offerings that they produced. So I played him Aqualung, LITP and then LocoB and he couldn't believe Loco was Tull.
I won't say it's the least Tullish song but I remember thinking that it was unTullish back in the day and on first hearing it.
