I know it's probably been asked before but can this still be bought or viewed anywhere?

I know it's probably been asked before but can this still be bought or viewed anywhere? Don't know if it's on youtube but it was only ever a TV programme. I expect it's been bootleged over the years. Of interest to those who study such things, there was a revised version broadcast which placed more emphasis on the farming side of things which probably went out at 3am in the morning on TV here in dear old Blighty

Watched this TV programme yesterday and it brought back some happy memories of 1986 when I travelled to the Milton Keynes Bowl to see the concert featured in the programme. A very hot sunny day with many people going down with sunburn and to this day I'll never know why IA wore a sleeveless leather jacket, it was that hot. As a souvenir of that point in Tull's history it is revealing - IA constantly smoking a pipe, Dave Pegg and Martin Barre with hair (along with IA) and also his activities at Strathaird. Now somewhere I'm in the audience and my daughter thought she could see me when she saw it so . . . I'll have to look closely Anyone else at MK Bowl that day? As a rider to this post, Mrs Maddog and Daughter Maddog were at the Wimbledon tennis finals on that same day and saw Pat Cash win. Which reminds me that Wimbledon starts in a few weeks so as I can't abide tennis the TV in our household will be fully booked by she who must be obeyed

Yep, I was there with the first Mrs Q, we drove down in what was then my newly restored MGB GT and had a great day, brilliant sunshine. We left before the end of the last set to avoid the queues getting out of the car park, but it was a great day; pity that Tull weren't the show closer, but it was good to see them that year. I remember one of the beer tents running out of beer, and the "bogs" were literally that, enclosed by a corrugated sheet wall!

Did either of you remember Mama's Boys from that day ? Were they good? We still get to see Pat Mcmanus, one of the brothers, who gigs over here a lot. Would have loved to see Magnum also. Not to mention Gary Moore

Not to mention Gary Moore I have to say no to both Mama's Boys and Magnum, The bulk of the day other than Tull was spent sun-bathing to background music, it was a gloriously hot day. Gary Moore has never rocked my boat, so to speak, and so I expect that was blanked that out of my mind. For me the gig was a bit like Tull supporting Fleetwood Mac at Wembley, my only real interest was Tull so everything else was just window dressing

Hi all - new here, just said hello in the 'hello' thread, but might as well say it again here! Fish and Sheep ... I've got this both as an avi and as a DVD ... same with the shorter 'Farming Outlook' programme (though if you're not interested in IA's farming activities there's really not much of interest in there - best sticking with the main programme). Anyway, I'd be happy to do the honours for anyone who's missing it. Does anyone have the 'New Lords of The Isles' mini-programme about IA's Scottish estate? I've never seen that ... and I *do* have an interest in IA's farming activites (tragic I know!) What's in that programme, can anyone fill me in? Gareth

Gareth Welcome to the forum johntetrad and enjoy your stay. I've got a ropey video of the New Lords of the Isles on VHS video somewhere in my archive. Seem to remember it had a fair bit of Fish, Sheep . . . footage and it was only 10 minutes, or so, and it also featured other "lords" which filled our the rest of the original preogramme. Maybe contact electrocutas who may be able to arrange a trade with you or try a couple of other members who trade on this site. Surprisingly I can't find it on youtube. Maddog

I've just been checking my favourites on youtube and to my horror the video of The Milton Keynes Bowl has been deleted. Does anyone know if there's another copy somewhere?

I've had a look around the web but can't find the complete programme anywhere. Thanks for looking maddog. I'm afraid it's just as I feared. The only copy I ever found of this was uploaded by JoanandTull. This is what came up on youtube when I clicked on the video. This video is no longer available because the YouTube account associated with this video has been terminated due to multiple third-party notifications of copyright infringement.

Was there as well. Got sunburnt as did many of the folks who attended. This documentary was one of the first items that the Forum posted on youtube and is the one you refer to. Thanks to Bunkerfan we now have an extensive catalogue of rare items on our youtube site at www.youtube.com/user/Jethrotullforum
