Not one single case of throat irritation due to smoking Camels.
As someone who never smoked cigarettes, but indulges in a very occasional good cigar (I know I'll never be addicted to smoking or drinking, I only like very good beer, or very good cigars, and can afford neither of them too often ) I have tried Camel unfiltered on one of my annual "Man's Weekends" with my buddies from High School. Maybe every other year my buddy Danny brings a pack of the Camel unfiltered, or [shudder] the Camel Wides, and if he talks me into trying one, my throat is wrecked!
So to this comment I say Good times though, --Ron--
LOL! I never heard of the "T Zone" before Stanford Research into the Impact of Tobacco Advertising 8-|T ZONE Link From 1943 to 1952, the R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company ran a series of advertisements for
Camel cigarettes which encouraged consumers to try Camels for great taste and throat comfort. These untruthful claims presented Camels as the most healthful cigarette while admitting that most cigarettes would cause throat irritation - just not Camels! This assertion was outright deceptive. They dubbed the inhaling area the "T-Zone." Their slogan? "T for Taste, T for Throat. Camels will suit you to a 'T.'"
The majority of the T-Zone ads include an image of a beautiful, young woman (sometimes a man) smiling a white-toothed grin (as opposed to the yellow teeth which result from smoking), with a block-letter "T" traced over her mouth and throat area. The "T-Zone" campaign was often combined with the "More Doctors Smoke Camels" campaign and the "30-day taste test" campaign, a trifecta of manipulative ad techniques.
steelmonkey: I still don't feel like I have learned and integrated the 5 songs that were written for the opera. I wonder if and when they will ever be available besides the version snagged from a live show that I listen to now and again.

JTull 007: The Jethro Tull Forum is not on Facebook but there are some called The Jethro Tull Board or Group that have been quite abusive to TRUE TULL Fans. This Forum is very open minded and not so childish.
