Hi Tullians,
i'm great fan sinde 1970. At that time i bought all albums from Tull. My English is not the best, i hope you will understand me. What is hte first label? I have different pink island. One with a great "I", same album with the pink fish eye. Both have the same number on the cover and on the album, but different labels. Who can help me??

Ok. From the University of Jethro Tull, I reckon these are the pink UK Island labels in order. Ive include the vinyl single ones as well. First 7" pink design 2nd design 3rd design Album 1st design 2nd design 3rd design 4th design. Although a Chrysalis label, it has the "i" at the top and an Island catalogue number After the above design, the Island reference on the label was removed.

These are the UK-Labels. Do you have any idea about german Labels? Island Records released their recordings on at least one other label on the continent in the late 60's, Fontana released the single of A Song For Jeffrey in Germany for example. Have a look at the electrocutas site www.electrocutas.co.uk as it has a lot of illustrations of Tull records issued throughout the world. You could also have a look at www.collectable-records.ru/groups/index.htm#second which is where I borrowed the illustrations I posted earlier. Hope you find what you're looking for. Maddog
