Hi I'm Son from Victoria BC. I just joined. I'm a Jethro Tull fan from 1970 to the present, still with a full head of hair. I attended the Jethro Tull show in Vancouver June 19 2011. It was show number 15 starting in 1972. Martin Barre was playing thick chords and jaw-dropping runs most guitarists only dream of. 10 out of 10. I look forward to chatting with you Tull fans. cheerio Great to have you on the forum Son, looking forward to your future posts, I'm sure there's a lot of Tull memories under that "full head of hair". Cheers & welcome bunkerfan

Hi Knobby and welcome to The Jethro Tull Forum. Feel free to look through the contents of The Forum as we have lots of items here which I reckon you will be very interested in. As for the solo tour, well it was a shame that Ian Anderson didn't tour with Martin Barre under the name Jethro Tull but after all these years both have earned the right to "move on" so to speak, but I don't think it will be the end of the band, more a year or two out to recharge batteries and perform with other musicians. Cheers MD

Thank you for your welcome, I presume you are manager director of board. My apologies for not making myself clear my name is Lefteris, not Knobby. my university friends call me nobly the greek, it is a nickname they use, like my other friends there Jimmy the Chink and Mick the Pole, we are not English so they call us by nicknames. I added it here so that they could find me more easier. I prefer not to be called Knobby.
I agree that it is great pity that show was not Jethro Tull but as you say moving on can be important, like with friends, sometimes it is important to move on. such shame that it happens to Martin who is such fine guitarist.
I am looking for my friends from London here but cannot find them yet, maybe I need to spend more time looking as non rabbit suggests.
I will be back to stay with Tony and Ann in London soon, I am now home on island of Ithaca in the beautiful Ionian, Ann will stay here next week with another friend I meet in London and then we can a talk about Tonys video film collection of Jethro Tull. I hope they bring me film of the concert showing Minstrel in the gallery. When I saw it it made me wish for being alive in 1976 and seeing that show it was incredible to view
