Just so tired of Martin´s anger over being kicked out. He´s not recorded anything of value since he was fired.

Hi all! Figured this is a good place to say hello. I have been a Tull fan for as long as I can remember. My uncle would play Thick As A Brick nonstop when I was little, and I loved it. Been at it since then. I found this place looking for any notes on Martin barre's September 1 show, which I attended. I've already been reading a lot of fun stuff! Thank you to members, moderators and creators of these fine forums.

Sheesh stay off the interwebs a couple months and one misses all the fun! I definitely don't understand registering, then not posting at all for two years, then (in less than a week of posts) banning oneself. Didn't even have time to pop the popcorn!
Ah well, welcome fuzzbox!! 'Tis a great place to be and to talk Tull!
Be well, --Ron--

Hello, fellow Tull heads! I'm gonna introduce myself here now. Not really my first post as I did paticipate in the IA 2018 tour thread elsewhere on this forum. Here it goes... I'm a postman in my mid-thirties. I live in Finland. I've got two blue tabbies around the house. I also work as a caretaker and a salesman/marketing guy at a certain volunteer fire brigade. Occasionaly I brandish my Canon 5D mk III and shoot the hell out of people and take their money like a highwayman. I came to appreciate Tull in around the year 2000, when a TV show was featuring a band I used to cheer for (and still do, though they're defunct now) had just released a record, which was cleverly entitled Lauluja Metsästä (quite literally, 'Songs From the Wood'). This band, YUP, had jokingly been 'accused' of being Finland's Jethro Tull in the music press and they reciprocated by naming their newest album in reference to Tull. That gave me the impetus to go to the record store and buy that particular record, musing to myself: "Well, if YUP's great, how bloody awesome is this Tull going to be?" Although it did take some time to get into JT but I'm glad I stuck with it. The feeling when some particular bit of music just clicks with you and suddenly you're helplessly drawn in and you don't even want to resist it. All hail Cthulhu. I love that in music. You just give in, gladly. The rest is you-know-what. This forum's been my source of reference for many years now, but I've remained incognito until now. Thought I might give something back having received so much. It's been an enjoyable ride, even if you hadn't known it! Thank you.

Hello everybody !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My name is Phil and I come from France. I get most of Tull's albums and I saw them twice (1987 and 2018) in Paris. Everytime, it was amazing. I'm also a big fan of Thin Lizzy, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Hawkwind, The Sensational Alex Harvey and many other bands.

Hi, newbie from Lancashire here (not that far from Blackpool, oh AND I was born in Dunfermline!), First awareness of Tull came in the good old days when Radio Luxembourg played the recently released TAAB (the edited version, we weren't that lucky), I took the precious Record Token I had received for my 13th birthday and spent the princely sum of £2.25p and rushed home to slap it on the turntable. Side one played and I was hooked, as I turned the album over my sister burst into the room surprising me and causing me to drop the stylus thus leaving a nice big scratch across an inch or two of side two. Only years later when I bought the cd did I hear side two for the first time without a click click click disturbing my enjoyment. Months later LITP was a gratefully received Christmas Present.Aqualung and Minstrel followed but I didn't buy PP, the sleeve put me off for some reason, similarly I didn't buy Warchild or TOTRnR but fell in love with Broadsword. I still saw the band live several times but my purchasing of Tull albums had stopped. I saw the band in Liverpool a couple of years ago and thought "that's it, I'll never see them again" it wasn't the best of nights . Then came August this year and I saw Martin's band and was blown away, I found a couple of the new-to-me remastered discs and fell in love again, the addiction was well and truly in my veins, all the boxed sets have now ended up in my grubby mitts, not only that but I bit the bullet and went for all the post 1980 albums and couldn't believe how good they were, I already had CoaK on vinyl but hadn't heard it in years, I just vaguely remembered I hadn't been that keen at the time but this time around.... I must say especially how much I love Catfish Rising, how did I miss it for all these years? Fatherhood and its different priorities probably played a part but I'm making up for it now.Stormwatch is on pre-order and the best part is...I've never heard it so for me it is like the 5th brand new Tull recording in a couple of months. Thanks Radio Luxembourg 1972 for bringing me to the fold initially and thanks to the Martin Barre Band for showing me what I'd missed. It's great to be back.

I can see the new members, but I'm not sure if this is where you post. So! I've been a JT fan since the beginning. I saw him live as often as possible in my first life, back there at the beginning. Recently I saw "Thick as a Brick II" which I found wonderfully magic . . . he looks and dances better than the last time I saw him a long, long time ago. I'm from the USA - Oregon. I'm a poet and writer. I'm Dryad, which you probably know is a tree spirit/sylph type person. I have a Folklore minor with my B.A. and have always been interested in Mythology and Fok Lore from everywhere. I'm most versed in Celtic and Norse. Hi folks!
