To all of you who don't get your answers to Ian picked and answered...despair not....I will answer the leftover questions on his behalf......just re-propose them, on this thread and you'll get fully un-authorised, un-researched, in-accurate but guaranteed funny answers!

Dear Mr A via Mr S Some Late Questions I am not a cat lover,I think they are sleekit wee beasties, would you like to have been a cat and if not what other animal? If they made a movie of your life who would play the part? Give me a few random lines of lyrics you might write in the style of American Country?

Mr A via Mr Steel. Two non musical questions that have always puzzled me and probably everyone else as well:
1. If we all stopped voting, would the politicians go away?
2. What seeds are used for seedless grapes?

Mr. Anderson will be played by 'Tevye the Milkman' from Fiddler on the Roof. He wants to be a Tiger ( Tiger the animal...not the Pegg expression for vomit stains on dark shoes...no, really...Peggy would always check for 'tiger' on his shoes after a rough night) Truck Stop Runner is the kind of country song he'd write. Seedless grapes are orphans...they are taken to the grape orphanage, de-seeded and put up for adoption. Their parents probably turned to wine and couldn't take care of them.

Just another case of the involuntary sterilization of the disadvantaged!

Seedless grapes are orphans...they are taken to the grape orphanage, de-seeded and put up for adoption. Their parents probably turned to wine and couldn't take care of them. So that's the reason. Little grapes all on their own, left to fend for themselves, running wild in the streets etc etc.

Well, this is a relief, SM! Saved me from having to google Maddog's question. So there is actually a grape sanctuary somewhere...

Hum both in your head a few times and you will see what I mean! Too weird. Jeff

Mr. Anderson will be played by 'Tevye the Milkman' from Fiddler on the Roof. The West End opening of Fiddler on the Roof was in 1967. This would have been a good question for him... Throwing it back at you Mr S... Was Mr A influenced by Tevye- The Milkman? The more I look... i41.images obliterated by tinypic/33485xx.jpg[/IMG] i41.images obliterated by tinypic/2ho8hh1.jpg[/IMG] the more I see... i43.images obliterated by tinypic/b99nxt.jpg[/IMG] i39.images obliterated by tinypic/5vb02r.jpg[/IMG] or maybe it's just Anderson's natural shakesperian type of showmanship ?

How did we go from Maddog offering to answer questions on behalf of Ian (so the ones that didn't get picked will not feel left out) to a grape sanctuary somewhere? LOL Silken...

As an aside to the excellent bonus answers beign offered by MadDog, if you wonder what happens to those seedless grapes and can access the groups on facebook, check out Grape Heads...childish fun..... I hope to see a Tull one on there or here one day.

You think it's a coincidence that Aqualung is related to 'if i were a rich man'?

You think it's a coincidence that Aqualung is related to 'if i were a rich man'? But what I want to know is if Ian knows all the words. I mean, every time I've ever heard it, no matter whose singing it, they always forget and it ends up: "If I were a rich man, buduh buduh buduh buduh buduh buduh buduh bum..." I mean, what's with that?

Add to the mix the co-writing credit for Aqualung of Jenny Anderson...nee Franks...a Jewish woman!

Add to the mix the co-writing credit for Aqualung of Jenny Anderson...nee Franks...a Jewish woman! So it's not outwith the realms of possibility that he would have been sitting in the audience of Fiddler.. with the missus and the in-laws -- Seriously, has this theory been chewed over before by Tull fans?

You guys have certainly managed to make this thread a most interesting one to read.
The questions are very fun, and the answers....well, let's just say they're truly unexpected and original. ;D
Now the Tevye/Minstrel connection...
The similarities are pretty amusing, but at the same time, they look within the realm of possibility. And then all the Jewish connections...hmmm....

Looks like Col is looking to cash in on all this with the Jewishcafe.com ad.
