I wonder if this will still be 50 year set of there will be some real song turnover and/or new songs by march of 2020. No matter, concert dates in the third decade of the third millennium are a good sign.

Jethro Tull was described, back in 1969, as "progressive rock band". The constant development of Tull's music through conceptual albums in the early 1970s gave way to what could be called "progressive folk."
Since then, his music has taken advantage of eclectic influences from multiple genres of music and, after five decades since the Prog era was born, Ian Anderson's songs and melodies return to this day invoking "The Prog Years". The new tour of Jethro Tull promises an exclusive and exciting journey to the origins of the scene, to recover the best of its classic material with an infallible repertoire capable of seducing even the most demanding palates.
Topics include Thick as a Brick, A Passion Play, Aqualung, Stand Up and Songs from the Wood.

Looks like a new tour to me. It will be interesting to see what is switched up from recent outings and how much Brick and Play. I can't think of anything on Stand Up that I have not seen live often enough to last a lifetime...same for Aqualung.

From Russia with TULL 2020 LINK Ian Anderson, the unchanging multi-instrumentalist flutist and cult British rock band Jethro Tull, is returning to Russia. Jethro Tull (UK)
World famous and at the same time far from the mainstream, Jethro Tull achieved significant commercial success back in the 70s: 5 albums of the group received platinum status, 11 - gold, and sold over 60 million copies worldwide. Intricate texts, extremely complex arrangements and familiar flutes play a unique and harmonious symbiosis of instruments in each of the compositions. Based on the eclectic influences of many genres, Ian and the team always skillfully balanced on the verge of progressive rock and folk, thanks to which they made their own unique contribution to the golden musical treasury.
At concerts in Russia, music lovers will have a great opportunity to enjoy works from the Thick as a Brick, A Passion Play, Aqualung, Stand Up and Songs from the Wood albums.
The Prog Years Russia 2020 April 27, Moscow // April 28, Nizhny Novgorod // April 30, St. Petersburg . Tickets on sale from September 24, 2019.
