I was reminiscing and looking through my albums and when I was looking at This Was and looking closely at the dogs (and just wondering about the dogs lives, themselves) it suddenly occurred to me that this could quite possibly be a reference to Oliver Twist. All of a sudden it just reminded me of the guy in Oliver Twist.

Forgive me, it's been (probably 25) years since I read the book, but, wasn't there a man who owned a bunch of dogs, in Oliver Twist? It's the "This Was" photo with the dogs that reminded me of it.

I can't remember a man owning a bunch of dogs, just Bill Sikes with his dog Bullseye, but it's more than 25 years since I've read the book

Good morning chaps. Late last night my wife just educated me on my answer. She said I'm getting the book confused with an 80's Disney adaptation called Oliver and Company where the petty thief lives on a barge with his five dogs. Then she said, "and you're mixing them up with the musical that came out when we were little kids, now forget all this Jethro Tull nonsense and come to bed".
There ya have it. Now, all of a sudden I'm in the mood for some Dickens.
