Ian doesn't seem to get questions concerning the future. I think interviewers are derelict in their reporting by not going there. This is the latest I've heard from a statement from a recent show (Interview retrieved by Maddog I believe) Finally 2019 is right around the corner!
“In 2019, we already have a lot of shows booked and there’s a couple of recording projects I am working on and some other musically-related projects I am working on, so I have enough to keep me busy for the next four years,” Anderson said. “At my age, it’s energizing to be thinking a couple of years ahead, and I look forward to all of that.”

Maybe they ask and he stays tight-lipped? Likely.

I like '4 year plan' The Soviets always managed 5 year plans , but if Ian wants to only promise 4 at a time, I'll take it as good news.

If enough people ask regularly about future Tull output, he would eventually have to answer the question directly. I would be very surprised to hear if not one person on this forum has his ear (or a Tull insider's).

The Anderson ear is slippery quarry and, as a group, we have had some success via his publicist, his son, The New Day guys, and a few other random and non-sustained sources. Maddog is pretty high up in Tull circles and Jim has formed real friendships with band members not named Anderson and crew....but a good, direct connection to the man himself, as described at the end of TAABII band introductions?.....Not really.
