Hi all, i'm link hunting tonight.... Hoping someone can direct me to a page that features a decent selection of tour and/or year specific concert photos (or similarly catagorized promo photos, for that matter). Been working on cover art recently, and am trying to be accurate in terms of the pictures i use. All suggestions sincerely appreciated

Up to about 92-93 ( the multi-colored , Lite Music tour vest) ) I could tell you the year of a concert pic by the clothes...after that, it would be guesses ( is this more or less braggy than posting in broken, mexican Spanish to the other new guy?) BTW...did you find the You Tube Chateau stuff?..if not, I'll look and try share the link

It seems like there has to be an archive somewhere that groups photos in this way.....I'm hoping to find something organized in a way similar to the promo poster section @ the amazing electrocutas' site. I would also love to find the rejected pix from official album cover photo sessions (Dream on, cbwaltzer, dream on.... ) ( is this more or less braggy than posting in broken, mexican Spanish to the other new guy?) Hahaha...No, no....I thought that was cool of you - very welcoming BTW...did you find the You Tube Chateau stuff?..if not, I'll look and try share the link I did, thanks! Found so much more as well - i had no clue there was so much amazing Tull on youtube...It's been a very Tully evening here

Ok this is my ...won't call it a speciality ;D however I love the pics/art related stuff! Cb (can i call you cb?) you might want to try these sites I've found - but be warned you have to dig deep and spend ages clicking to get into some of the vaults! I have also found that by searching for the not so obvious link I have come up with some goodies ie venue names/personal background of the musicians etc etc noolmusic.comwww.technorati.com/photoswww.rateyourmusic.comYour welcome to check out my page www.myspace.com/islatullCheers

Great ideas! It never even occurred to me to search by photographer/studio name (perhaps i shouldn't admit that, lol). Thanks steelmonkey! ;D How cool! I can't wait to delve into those links nonrabbit - thanks so much . I'm the same way about the whole art 'thing'....Tull has always intersected (in my mind, at least) with all my favorite artistic styles (nouveau, Celtic, woodcuts, etc, etc ad infinitum). Great advice . I love to plug odd word combinations into google images and spend hours hunting for pictures to use in some future project (for example 'weathercock autumn' [though i haven't tried that one specifically]). While i've used venues as a search term, i never tried the personal backgrounds of the musicians - definitely going to give it a shot The one link i've checked out already is your myspace page - very cool! Great stuff all around. Plus, in all my Tully wanderings, i'd never come across the image of Ian @ fireside. A great pic, and perfect for my purposes. Thanks so much for all the thoughts and links, nonrabbit - all are sincerely appreciated (and yeah - 'cb' is fine w/ me

I like the use of the Beastie too - it makes it look Germanic instead of Norse. A great cover - please show more

Hey, thanks very much nonrabbit Frustratingly, thanks to a particularly destructive hard drive infection, the rest of my completed covers were lost - This one survived only because it was posted on a flac trading site months ago. Right now i'm working on two new ones - one for a Stormwatch show, and one for a show from either the HH tour, or the Bursting Out tour (somewhere around that time - haven't picked the show yet). I'll post them here when finished

I must say how much I have enjoyed this link to Noolmusic.com. I cannot believe how many videos of Tull are all in one place. Mind you, I have just about every video that You Tube has to offer saved, but this site has all the videos in one place.. Thanks for sharing. Regards, Silken...

Thank you Silken The only slightly annoying thing about Noolmusic is that you have to click on to the videos and then click Jethro Tull graphics AND then click through 128 images to come up with some goodies Cheers - happy clicking

I cannot share you annoyance with all that clicking. I found it fun to see what I would find once I clicked something and then another. I will never get tired of sifting through all things Tull related, no matter how much I have to click.... Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. Regards, Silken...

This is how behind the times I still am....what an interesting thread this is. CB, your cd cover is quite nice. nonrabbit, I will have to check out these sites as this is the first time I've heard of them. But your MySpace page is very, very cool. More research, but I see many happy Tull hours ahead... Thanks to both of you.
