I went and saw Ian at Five Point Amphitheatre in Irvine CA on 7/6/2019. Obviously his voice is not the best, not having Martin Barre there also for a Jethro Tull tribute was strange (not mentioned at all during concert either, just a very quick if you noticed him in background on a couple of videos/pictures only). But despite these things, I actually enjoyed the concert. Ian's still a great showman and can still play the flute great. The other musicians have been with him a while now and were very good also. So all in all, glad I went. Not sure how much longer he can sing, but I give him credit for trying and still putting on a good concert musically. Looking forward to the new book coming out and what new projects Ian and Martin plan in the year ahead. Nice having both performing and playing great music still. A very honest opinion of the current tour and yes, it is strange that Martin is almost completely locked out when they go through the past Jethro Tull members but on the plus side it sounds like you had a great night

He'll go on until he drops.

It is impressive and admirable that Ian continues to put butts in seats and send them away happy. For Tull fans, we can fill in the vocal gaps....for less devoted attendees, at least they get a taste of what made Tull the most amazing and unique group of their era. I can't imagine anyone walking out of a concert not impressed by the man with the flute.

I can't imagine anyone walking out of a concert not impressed by the man with the flute. The world can be full of people who enjoy life through music. Ian Anderson I can never understand those who complain about Ian's voice as though they are in charge of his vocal ability. You can see it from time to time as a stern warning or sarcastic comment just to cause angst among others who like it. Can Bod Dylan still sing ? How about Rod Stewart or anyone else ? Each time he sings it becomes part of me. I just pray that it will happen again 2020. My joy will be seeing him perform in ways that others do not comprehend. When Ian sings, WE LISTEN

Dharma For One and My God from San Diego 7/7/2019Thanks to Aisles Music Visions for uploading Those two should be included in most every set. My God continues to be a seminal moment within the show. Love for Ian to bring back the middle bit in My God...for time purposes maybe in lieu of the drum solo in Dharma.

www.faz.net/aktuell/rhein-main/50-jahre-jethro-tull-die-band-im-amphitheater-in-hanau-16318338.htmlJETHRO TULL IN HANAU :51 or 50 years - Anniversary is always!BY MICHAEL KÖHLER - UPDATED ON 05.08.2019 So a round band anniversary makes something. It is no coincidence that, strictly speaking, it is not 50 years, but almost 52 years ago, that Jethro Tull formed on 20 December 1967 in London and after the British agricultural pioneer and seed drill inventor Henry Jethro William Tull (1674 bis 1741). Ian Anderson, the only remaining original member of the pioneering British Progressive Rock, released in 2012 but active again since 2017, adds another dimension to the spotlight of the Hanau amphitheater with the rest of the musicians: to the greeting, he correctly states that they are yes now 51 years since its foundation.LinkFor a Thousand Mothers/Love Story/Dharma For One/A Song For Jeffrey/Beggar's Farm/Bouree/Sweet Dream/My God/Thick As A Brick/Too Old To Rock 'n' Roll, Too Young To Die/Pastime With Good Company/Songs From The Wood/Heavy Horses/Warm Sporran/Farm On The Freeway/Aqualung/Locomotive Breath

VI UNCLE PEPE FESTIVAL LINK Full up to receive Ian Anderson and the Jethro Tull at Uncle Pepe The concert is part of the tour that commemorates the 50 years of the band Ian Anderon jumped on stage, agile, with the flute between his lips to perform '1000 Mothers', the theme with which he opened the concert.
A big ovation from the public welcomed him. The mythical band of the 70s continued with their theme Love Story, at the end of which it was directed to the public to remember that the concert is part of the tour for the 50 years of Jethro Tull and to present the following theme: A Song for Jeffrey . A resounding public success that enjoyed the feel of a peculiar symphonic rock band.
