Friends in Tull. It warmed this old man's heart to watch Weaboo's video below. A 21 year old's first listening to TAAB. Sharing with friends just as we did when I was around that age. You can start at the 8 minute mark and not miss anything. Dip in and out at your favorite points but I suggest if you don't watch the whole thing watch "shuffle in the courtroom" (Bitch! that was Magical!), "Cats on the upgrade and drum solo, and closing minutes and hang around through his stunned, mind blown silence after the end. Then, listen to his comments, some of the most prescient i have heard on the subject. www.youtube.com/watch?v=NXEzAUIUKq0

What a cool thing to find and share. I'm going to relive my first listen, via this guys responses tonight after work. Thank You Very Much for this. Mine first listen was the night of 12-31-72. I was a 15 year old with a new year's eve babysitting gig and when the little kids went to sleep I found TAAB in the records pile. The money I earned was promptly spent on the album, two days later....because the stores were closed on New Year's Day. I wish I could somehow thank those people for putting my lifelong favorite music in my path that night.

He likes "Bitch" a lot. It really is a sweet review and listen. I enjoyed every minute. Besides, the music is pretty good! Weaboo has over 100,000 subscribers. I love it. I watched some of his other videos too.
It gladdens the heart to hear the young 'uns listen to this for the first time and even better when they're blown away by them.
My youngest(and last baby) has flown the coop. He is a musician and studying electronic music production/Dj Practice with the latest emerging technology in that particular sphere of music.
I treasure the last year before he left home ( not necessarily his drunken friends I would find in my living room of a morning though!)
We would listen to music together and I would play the music that I like and vice versa. What surprised me was that he played music to me that I thought that I wouldn't like and did! I played stuff to him that I thought he hadn't heard before and he had!
There are no boundaries in music.
Incidentally, one of his best reactions was to this musician and performance - 'WOW'

I made my 13 year old sit still for about 10 minutes and made her watch Prince perform 'Sign o the Times'live from that epic tour. She hated it and declared me stoopid for thinking otherwise.

I was 16 and already a Tull fan, having seen the band on their Aqualung tour the previous summer, when I heard the premiere of TAAB played in its entirety on KOL FM here in Seattle. I wished at the time that it rocked a little bit harder, like it's predecessor, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was a couple of months later, in June, 1972 that I saw the band play it in concert. It immediately became my favorite piece of music and has been ever since. That the live show included hilarious skits from the newspaper was just icing on the flutecake. In my opinion it was Tull's finest hour.
