Low Spark takes me right back to tenth grade. I was a pre-pubic stoner with a job that allowed one or two album, purchases a week...that was a good one !

I dig it too... Anything with Bud Cort in it was very cool back then. Peace... Strawberry Statement 1970

I'm spending the morning transferring some Tull tunes to my new mp3 player ahead of my holidays and I'm just checking that it's all on and of course APP is first on the list and I'm still listening to it. Happy days!

Happy days! You off on holiday again Mr B? No point in me coming to visit you when I return to Britain's shores - your never in Have a lovely listen and holidays. By the way I was just thinking myself last night that i must get myself a playlist. How do you plan it? I mean how do you plan it for different moods and avoid skipping through the list all the time? I'm new to this (and a control freak)

Coincidence as well that Mr B is on this thread as I was about to post myself this morning. Watched the highlight of The Cambridge Folk Festival (must, must visit it one year) and this boy and his band blew me away. Nick Mulvey "..Nick Mulvey’s multicultural musical style is a little difficult to define. His infusion of genres creates a sound palette which is intricate yet incredibly easy to listen to. Although mostly self-taught, Nick has had some quite interesting musical tutors; from a Congolese community in East London to disciplined Cuban artists in Havana..." www.thestudentpocketguide.com/2014/02/music-film-tv/music/nick-mulvey/Quite the multicultural mix in his musical make- up. Try to catch the live performance of this song from the Festival. Cucurucu has no meaning. It's a piurt a buel - mouth music as in Hi-Ro-Ani-Ho in Coronach. Beautiful.

Very smooth and relaxing tune. Cool video for a hot summer day. Ready to Piurt a Buel

I just love this Thread... It kind of gives you an alibi to play almost anything... and then there's this funny thing about it, because, if you click on any of the videos in this Thread... Well, then that's exactly what you will be listening to... but I will not be cruel... though there should be a clear warning... Don't click on the next video... It's as hideous as they come... and don't think about kangaroos... especially those who hop around in the Australian dessert... trying to find a place in the sun... The thing is, to get back on track...: "Does Ian owe good old Mr. Jethro Tull anything at all?" Well, since a question very often is a statement in disguise, I probably don't think so... but then again... maybe Ian owes more to Krishna, than to Mr. Jethro Tull... I mean... Krishna actually plays the flute, and stands on one leg... The historical Mr. Jethro Tull, did not... Doesn't that just make you feel a little guilty, Ian? Maybe you should visit Kurukshetra in India instead of visiting St Bartholomew's Church in Lower Basildon, near Pangbourne...

Very sad. I read that he had been ill for a long while and that he lived in Ontario since the early 90's. I loved Lindisfarne and Lady E one of my all time fav singles of the past. When I saw them on TOTP's I was bemused at Simon Crow's "Aqualung" appearance. i59.images obliterated by tinypic/k0lshc.jpg[/IMG] Rest In Peace Simon

Here's something the vast majority of people have never heard of, I only found out starting a year ago, about a composer claimed to be the equal of Bach, Handel, Vivaldi and the like, but far more original in style, who didn't follow convention much and whose music has only been unearthed and recorded over the last few decades. This stuff has the gusto of an uninhibited spirit with tons of creativity and the resources to match. Although it's from the early 1700's and is in a strong baroque style, it jumps. Composer's name: Jan Dismas Zelenka A list of compositions. YouTube has many of them......... jdzelenka.net/audition.htm

Beeswing is so great that about 5 songs after he played it in a concert about 10 years ago, I yelled out a request that he play it again...got me a good laugh from Thompson and the audience.

Richard Thompson is the man, he sounds like he's playing 2 guitars at once, I wish I was that talented.. Nantucket Sleighride rocks as well. How do you post the actual video you are watching? I can't seem to make that happen. I'm listening to a metal song that probably no one would like anyway....
