My tickets are in row Q Bunkerfan - maybe I got the ones you did not want Possibly but thinking back to yesterday when I posted that the nearest seat was row Q I think I got it wrong because row Q looks OK so you've done well Steve. I'm now wondering if she said something like row Z because she was pointing near the back as I recall Anyway I'm going for a hearing test later this month because I don't ear too well. More problems with old age! Here's the latest seating plan for the City Hall. All those seats in the centre stalls aren't taken, they're sitting in the office of greedy ticket agencies!

Ian Anderson, a music legend on the flute, will visit Monschau next year. He was the man who stood on one leg, the flute blew and became a music legend.
The album "Aqualung" wrote music history and above all the "Locomotive Breath" is one of the great classic of the rock. hellerupparkhotel.dk/en/discover-jethro-tull-up-close/DISCOVER JETHRO TULL UP CLOSEIn 1967, a small rock band was formed in Bedfordshire, England. This rock band would grow to one day become one of the world’s biggest classic rock bands, as well as a band that survived the advent of the other big names at the time. Since then, Jethro Tull has taken the world by storm time and time again and they even have bragging rights for producing multiple major hits throughout the years. They even stole a Grammy from right under Metallica’s nose in 1988. On Friday 2 March 2018, the rock legends will make their way to Copenhagen, where they will play their 50th anniversary concert, in cooperation with Docken concert and culture. At the time, the lead singer, Ian Anderson, will be celebrating his 70th birthday, so there is a memorable night in store! Jethro Tull will be staying at Hellerup Parkhotel and you can too! We are offering a unique concert stay specifically for the occasion: * Ticket for the anniversary concert * Dinner at The Italian Butcher complete with wine ad libitum * Open bar after the concert * Amazing, large double room * Huge international breakfast buffet Total price only 2,175 kr. per person in a double room.

www.regioactive.de/preview/2017/10/09/ian-anderson-feiert-50-jaehriges-jethro-tull-jubilaeum-2018-Pmf2HDTxyh.htmlNo end in sight Ian Anderson celebrates 50th Jethro Tull Jubilee 2018By Daniel Nagel , published on Oct. 9, 2017 IAN ANDERSON (2016) © MARTIN WEBBIan Anderson, flutist, singer and songwriter, has reason to celebrate. His former band Jethro Tull celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2018. With his jubilee tour he will also return to Germany. Jethro Tull was born in 1968. Since Jethro Tull was no longer a band, and Ian Anderson considered himself a legitimate successor to the legendary group, he went to the "50th Anniversary Tour" in 2018 ". As Jethro Tull fans know, Ian Anderson has ruined his voice in the early 1980s. For this reason, a few years ago, guest starter Ryan O'Donnell took on board, who took difficult singing-jokes. New interest This worked quite well at the beginning. Despite the well-known handicap, the concerts were very good and also benefited from quite creative video-players, multimedia productions and, apart from the voice, Ian Anderson. Steven Wilson's deluxe box sets from the classic Jethro Tull albums were the reason for the interest in the band. The extensive reworking included some astonishing discovery from the studio sessions, complete concerts from the 1970s and much more. Reason for skepticism After Ian Anderson released two good solo studio albums and also presented them live, he has unfortunately returned to the "Greatest Hits" concept, which has definitely survived, as the concert in Mannheim in 2016 clarified. The unfinished concept, in combination with Ian Anderson's deepening voice, ensured a very mixed concert experience, so that even long-time fans of the 2018 Germany tour will miss their mixed feelings. This has so far offered an open air appearance at the Munich Tollwood Festival together with Manfred Mann's Earth Band and Sweet. A handful of other shows are planned in November. Further announcements are likely.

Two good solo albums (great actually) and back to British Beach Boys peddling greatest hits. The latter day Tull dream come true stage, exemplified by TAAB2, ended the second week of the HE tour in America when Ian swapped HE songs for 'hits'.....I like, or think I would like, given studio versions, the 5 songs written for the opera, but I liked the path Ian was on with TAAB2 and HE. Hurry new stuff in...when? 2019? 2023 ?

Two good solo albums (great actually) and back to British Beach Boys peddling greatest hits. The latter day Tull dream come true stage, exemplified by TAAB2, ended the second week of the HE tour in America when Ian swapped HE songs for 'hits' I agree! I saw YouTube footage of the HE tunes, so I was so excited to see them live. "Heavy Metals" and "The Turnpike Inn" looked so promising. Instead, I get a handful of HE songs and then "The Best of Jethro Tull" songs. So disappointed. I saw TAAB 2 in Philly, Asheville, Cleveland, Cincinnati, and Akron. Thought I'd never hear a big chunk of TAAB 1 live ever again. Fortunately, he did nearly the entire side 1 during the HE tour. My wife came with me to the Greensburg show and I told her (through sobbing, mind you) that she was so fortunate to see such a big chunk of TAAB 1 live. Ha, well, she never really became a Tull fan (refused to go to the last couple shows I attended - going to concerts solo sucks), but it was still a special moment for me!

beintheloopchicago.com/ian-anderson-brings-jethro-tulls-50th-anniversary-tour-ravinia/Ian Anderson Bring’s Jethro Tull’s 50th Anniversary Tour To Ravinia Nov 09, 2017 James Currie RAVINIA ANNOUNCES JETHRO TULL BY IAN ANDERSON 50TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR HIGHLAND PARK, IL – It was on Feb. 2, 1968, at the world-famous Marquee Club on Wardour Street that Jethro Tull first performed under that name. The group would go on to become one of the most successful and enduring bands of the era, selling over 60 million albums worldwide and entering the cultural collective consciousness along the way. To celebrate this golden anniversary, Ian Anderson will present 50 years of Jethro Tull to audiences at Ravinia on Sept. 3, 2018, as part of a worldwide touring schedule. The band first appeared at Ravinia in 2000 and returned in June 2010. Most recently, Anderson traveled to Ravinia to perform the songs of Jethro Tull in 2013. The band’s debut album, This Was, was released later that same year. Founder, frontman, and flutist Anderson is credited with introducing the flute to rock as a frontline instrument, not to mention the codpiece! Jethro Tull is one of the biggest selling progressive rock artists of all time, and its immense and diverse catalogue of work encompasses folk, blues, classical, and heavy rock. The anniversary concerts will feature a broad mix of material, some of it focusing on the earlier formative period through to the “heavy hitters” of the Tull catalogue from the albums This Was, Stand Up, Benefit, Aqualung, Thick as a Brick, Too Old to Rock ’n’ Roll: Too Young to Die!, Songs from the Wood, Heavy Horses, Crest of a Knave, and even a touch of 2012’s Thick as a Brick 2. Anderson said, “I am not usually a birthday or anniversary kind of guy, but, just for once, I won’t be a party pooper! I treasure the memories of the earlier years of Jethro Tull repertoire, associated as it is with the adventures of visiting so many countries for the first time to connect with new fans around the world. And this is a celebration of all the 33 band members who graced our ranks—musicians who brought their talents, skills, and styles to bear on the performances live and in the studio. Join me and the current band for a nostalgic evening of varied music, representative of my ever-changing songwriting as our careers progressed through the years.” Anderson is accompanied by Tull band musicians David Goodier (bass), John O’Hara (keyboards), Florian Opahle (guitar), Scott Hammond (drums), and surprise virtual guests. Tickets will go on sale to donors to the not-for-profit Ravinia Festival Nov. 17–20. The general public will be able to purchase tickets on Nov. 21, only at www.ravinia.org. Ravinia’s full 2018 season lineup will be announced on Mar. 14, 2018. ABOUT JETHRO TULL Formed in 1968, Jethro Tull has released 30 studio and live albums, selling more than 60 million copies worldwide. During their 50-year history, the band has performed over 3,000 concerts in more than 50 countries, playing more than 100 concerts each year.

Next year, Jethro Tull will be able to visit their tree again LINK 1 LINK 2 When Jethro Tull planted a tree in the park in 2010, all band members were present. Ian Anderson, the lead in the group, appeared in 'civil' and was almost unrecognizable! The tree they were to plant was a very small new tree planted just to the left of Cliff Richard's large lush tree. Jethro Tull therefore suggested that they would give Cliff Richard notice that they had to trim his tree because it overshadowed theirs. It has been announced that Jethro Tull will give a concert in Aalborg, Denmark on March 1, 2018.
