Hi forum, I've already started posting a little bit, but here's my proper hello!
I'm Sam, been lurking for a while, and here's the story of how I got into Tull.
Back when I was 13 or 14, my mom discovered Napster and started downloading songs she remembered from the 70s and 80s. Among those was Aqualung, which quickly became one of my favorites. So I started looking for other tunes, at first different live versions of Aqua. I was particularly impressed with the version from Bursting Out - what a difference, without knocking the original. Then, I was randomly trying songs from other albums.
And in the end, I wound up buying nearly every Tull album on CD, I'm now enjoying the 40th anniversary editions a lot, and I have seen the Living with the Past and Rock Opera tours!
So in conclusion, take that Metallica (times two)! Nice to be here. Sam/atcn

maddogfagin: I would guess that with the "recognition" he's now got with the association with IA he'll be in demand for session and production work. Maybe he could be asked to remix the later Tull albums after Stormwatch if SW hasn't the time.

sealion: Mmm, my Signature copy arrived yesterday and I've now got most of the way through it. It's certainly a lovely book but worth the £275?

sealion: Essentially we're paying £235 for a number, a 7" vinyl (which, let's be honest, isn't that great), 2 art prints, IA's autograph and a box. Oh yes, and my name listed in the back. A pair of tickets for the 2020 tour would've been a nice gesture....

sealion: Do I regret it? Not really, because it's Jethro Tull, but, perversely,I probably would've done if I'd only gone for the cheaper version! That said I'm not sure how the price difference between the two versions can be justified...

sealion: Jethro Tull the prog years? So it's Passion Play in it's entirety then!

steelmonkey: As it is I may have to travel far to see this tour

steelmonkey: Got new job, starting Feb 3,2020, Tull book and Stormwatch, all just in time for Thanksgiving. Prsent and promise to self: Catch up on Tull forum this weekend. Fair warning: reviews and rants/raves/nonsense looming like the big bear cover of Stormwatch.
