The arc of Martin Barre's solo live career is going nicely. Good thing he had the sense and humility to aim for smallish places and not get discouraged had he tried to fill multi-thousand seat venues. The band is having fun...the places he plays are full or very near full and, in true show business tradition...he leaves the audiences hungry for more as proven by the many places he has already visited multiple times with no decrease whatsoever in fan response. I look forward to his success on the west coast next fall....an area he has never played solo, thus far.

I wonder why Martin doesn't add the 'Aqualung' solo to the setlist? Am I the only one who never gets tired of hearing it?

I wonder why Martin doesn't add the 'Aqualung' solo to the setlist? Am I the only one who never gets tired of hearing it? Q: How many times do you think you have played "Aqualung," and are you tired of playing "Aqualung"? A: Played it thousands of times, but I'm not tired of it because I don't play it any more. The reason I don't play it is because it is too obvious. You go and play your hit track and everyone will go "Yay." I want to win the audience over doing really cool music and things they don't expect where they go "Wow." We have a great set of music, and I don't want to be obvious. It would be too easy, and I have always liked to take the hard way around. Martin Barre talks Grammys, partying like a rockstar, working with Paul McCartney Q: Did you have a favorite musical group? A: My go-to artist, whom I love, is Neil Young.

Never seen that before. A Gibson Les Paul is known to be thick, but that one's looking like a highschool woodworking project in it's early stages. Guitar players.....have a look!

Oh boy, the Martin Barre Band are on fire! Martin Barre Band - Sweet Dream - March 23, 2017 - Nashville, TN Thanks to TENNcaveman for uploading I simply don't like the singer... or the way he sings... Ian Anderson is the only one I have heard that can make these songs come alive... I also believe that Ian is the real reason behind Martins fabulous guitar playing, when he was a member of Jethro Tull... or, maybe I should say, that it's a combination... Yes Martin came up with fabulous contributions, but it's Ian that gives it a thumps up, or a thumps down... Ian cuts the raw diamond and makes it shine... To me Martin is mostly back to being a raw diamond, and I have to convince myself that I like it, and mostly I don't... This is a guess though, but Martin has changed... The way he plays the guitar has altered, and too me it's just not the same... Ian's voice ruins mostly everything for me nowadays, but he pulls it off on Thick As A Brick 2, and Homo Erraticus... Live performances with a voice like that is not for me... but Ian is still the genius and in my opinion the one that can turn great musicians into legendary musicians... You can ruin a meal if you uses too much salt, and Ian knows exactly what ideas to say no to, and how to make it all fly... Martin is my favorite guitarist, but only when he plays with Ian Anderson/Jethro Tull...

I have a feeling it's a "vintage" Hamer white sunburst model but I can't find one exactly the same on google images.

Must admit, before I heard Dan Crisp for myself I wasn't sure I liked his voice but, after hearing him live I've totally changed my mind. Probably down to poor youtube sound quality in past video's.
