Just learning that a Syrian man who was denied asylum in Germany AND entrance to a music festival, Ian headliner, killed himself and injured a dozen ( no other fatalities thus far) in a nearby bar. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/07/24/one-dead-and-ten-injured-after-restaurant-blast-in-german-city-o/Beyond average rage, and prayers for innocent victims, two thoughts, sacred and profane. Good thing Ian is so tight on not allowing ticketless individuals into the gig...it may have saved many lives including band and crew. Good think Pegg and Allcock are Tull retired...the actually tragedy took place in a nearby bar.

Another attempt to disrupt our lives by someone who doesn't understand or want to understand the meaning of the word peace.
I'm so sorry to learn of this latest attack and hope those injured make it through. I'm just pleased this terrorist wasn't allowed in or we could have been looking at mass fatalities.

Nothing is listed on the Official Website for this particular event. The next appearance would be on Wednesday July 27 in Laucheim @ Schloss Kapfenburg Festival... TULL LINK The information about Ansbach came from a link which was in July 2015. It appears to be a mistake.

Looks like false alarm .My very bad...,,,well LA Times reported Tull as headliner...but Tull played Ansbach on 7-24-2015...exactly a year ago. They must have looked at tour list and jump started to conclusion. Tull in Germany in between gigs...not in Ansbach where some local artists were cancelled out of open air festival. Still a taste of how real world pokes ugly head into Tull bubble.

I'm not cancelling my prayers for the innocent victims just because it turns out less likely they were Tull fans and more likely they were there to see Dieter Nobody and Hans Unknown.

And I'm sure Dieter and Hans have fans and moms who love them. But spare me updates on their re-issue/ remixes.

Still a taste of how real world pokes ugly head into Tull bubble. It's totally not your fault. The media and many others will occasionally make errors. I was relieved to know that TULL was not involved in this extreme tragedy at all.
My prayers for anyone injured by the mentally deranged individual who wanted to blow up others.
Of course there is always a potential for some violence in any concert or festival... LINK Forty years ago, Jethro Tull played an apocalyptic show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre amid tear gas, unruly crowds, hurled rocks, violent police officers and a swooping police helicopter.
We are fortunate to have any public performances of music that are not used for suicidal tendencies. If that becomes the norm then say good bye to sporting events, movies, restaurants or festivals of any kind. Florida has had another incident last night at Club Blu... LINK The police gave no immediate indication on a possible motive, but said it “is not an act of terror.” Residents of the neighborhood around the club said the area was stalked by drug dealing and violence.
Gee, I would have been TERRIFIED if I had been there...

Okay. So Ian Anderson and his band wasn't playing the festival when the terror attack occurred... Well, sometimes we get it wrong... but it's still very, very sad...

Yeah....but only I alerted Ian's publicist and cost her a night's sleep ! So much for pestering her for seat upgrade in San Jose in October ( I have a great seat a couple nights later in Santa Rosa). Pretty sure she forgave me and saw it was parroting wrong info...not jumping to conclusion from misread tour list all by my little self.
