I know this sounds arrogant and self-serving...but I actually don't mind paying high price for Tull in USA if it allows them to go to places like Slovakia where they break even, at best. Tull in the former east is so cool. I hope, someway. somehow, i see Tull in Russia or Moldavia or soemwhere like that...and even if i don't, I hope part of my ticket cost in California keeps them on the road to amazing gigs in such cool places. Can't speak for others, but for me, if I was touring and was doing OK financially, then I'd take a chance to do some concerts in some country that was just financially "break even", because of the chance to explore, spread the music more, meet more people, etc. As for hiking prices in one area to pay for trips in another.......who knows, if it's reasonable to the fan base. People have been pulling money out of one area to take to others on this planet, since time began and someone had a boat to move the gold in. Or silver. Or furs. Or oil. Or iPads. Or space ships. Ripping off the Earth to pay Martian wages. When's that going to hit the fan in Washington? LOL We have a saying in Denmark, and in Danish it goes like this: "Det vi mister på gyngerne, tjener vi ind igen på karrusellen." In English it's something like this: "What we have lost on the swings, we will earn again on the carousel."

KOSICE. Friday's concert of the legendary folk-rock British band Jethro Tull excited crowded auditorium of the Social Pavilion in Kosice. The four musicians plus inkonický frontman Ian Anderson played the greatest hits of the band section, which is active in the scene for fifty years. Although the original assembly has remained just as Anderson. That, although he no longer pulls at seventy, was performed with the vitality of its own, did not forget the typical "jednonožky" and his charisma, style and typical play the flute and the guitar, she got busy Almost everyone in the audience. Ian Anderson has also apologized to the audience for being singing it was not foolproof, as in Košice came on stage sick with sore bronchitis and cough. But it was only a minor glitch otherwise excellent podium show with music and imaginative precision reconciliation visual projections. Played greatest hits The concert began Jethro Tull old certificate songs Living In The Past, Nothing Is Easy, Heavy Horses with interesting and playback of video projection and Thick as a Brick. Classical design notorious songs alternated with various instrumental inserts. Enthused spectators and rock songs storms treatment originally from JS Bach, after another anthem Songs from the Wood gave the musicians and the audience a 15-minute break. The second part of the concert began Jethro Tull song Sweet Dreams, also came to instrumental solos the band members. The evening culminated in two key tracks from the band's album Aqualung (1971) - My God, that was in his time socially very discussed and eponymous aqualung. After a standing ovation, the band even came back on stage and extensively modified and musically ornate version added another iconic song Locomotive Breath. In the east after twenty years "I love theater, the atmosphere and tradition. I like also that the audience comfortably seated, the stage goes good sound and it gives me the feeling that together we can better communicate." IAN ANDERSON IN A RECENT INTERVIEW WITH CORSAIR The first concert of Košice legend confirmed that it sits smaller, more intimate rooms, although his first concert in East Slovakia played twenty years ago at the amphitheater in front of Presov myriads of spectators. Even after decades, but he presented in an admirable and enthused the audience, which prevailed especially middle and older generation. The hardest of fans have come to its after patiently waiting for autographs that even an hour after the show, before leaving to continue the tour in Budapest , musicians handed out directly at the van. Košice was the second stop on the current tour, the band that continues to concerts in Hungary, Romania, Ukraine and Lithuania . Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull): "Timisoara deserves to be European Capital of Culture 2021". Chronicle of a concert perfect ten By Zoltan Varga - February 20, 2017 LINK The legendary band Jethro Tull held a concert in Timisoara on Sunday evening at the Hall "Capitol" Philharmonic Banat, where the four musicians are on stage, plus legendary frontman Ian Anderson sang a lot of songs from the discography of the band that was born in 1968, in Luton, north of London. The band has sold over 60 million albums worldwide offered a special show called "Jethro Tull Performed by Ian Anderson," a show that combined "on time" music with performing arts and has managed to create an evening full of magic.
Beyond the songs, the show was filled with several projections could not be imagined, they fully colored A for an evening of rock music lovers. For Jethro Tull was a pioneer and inventor of agriculture English drill, projections show that they were included references a lot of rural areas, and at one point appeared on the show (on screen) and Icelandic singer and actress Unnur Birna Björnsdóttir.
Timisoara was the third city in this year's tournament included the band after their performances on February 17, Kosice (Slovakia) and February 18th in Budapest. In the first part of the concert, the band played songs that were hummed in unison fans, the Living In The Past, Nothing Is Easy, Heavy Horses or Thick as a Brick, since the latter part of a series of projections messages as can be the current. Among the songs that made the delight of those present included the "Banker Bets, Banker Wins", a song composed in 2012 by Ian Anderson, who was devoted to all banks "who take care of our money", as stated by legendary artist Timisoara.
Even though the voice of Ian Scott Anderson (born August 10 1947) was not perfect (artist acknowledging during concert in Kosice few days before that the flu), the recital was a perfect ten so because " tricks "performed by forntman's band Jethro Tull flute or guitar, but also due to the excellent performance of acompaniement instrumentalists.
Among the moments that sparked thunderous applause they were also included "Bouree," "Pastime with Good Company," "Sweet Dreams" or "Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" where guitarist Florian Opahle cooked Tahitian had a solo memorable end Ian Anderson which appeared on the stage and thanked his knees ...! To the end, the musicians kept "Aqualung" and "Locomotive Breath", two songs from the band's repertoire resistance, being cheered and applauded for minutes on end viewers who have witnessed this royal music. Surprisingly playlist series of missed famous play "Too Old to Rock'n'Roll, Too Young to Die". Among those in the hall there were a number of rockers past first youth who came with vinyls to be signed by the band members, but also younger fans who have enjoyed as befits a show perfect ten planned Ian Anderson, John O'Hara (keyboards), David Goodier (bass), Florian Opahle cooked Tahitian (guitar) and Scott Hammond (drums and percussion).
Ian Anderson was told very excited about our city and said it was several times in Romania, not only as an artist but also as a tourist. "We had the opportunity to visit less Timisoara Center and noticed that it is a very beautiful city that deserves to be European Capital of Culture in 2021.
"I am familiar with Romania, I have been here several times, not only as an artist but and as a tourist, I was on vacation with his family in Romania and was particularly beautiful, "said Ian Anderson in an exclusive interview granted to Mimo Obradovic, which will be broadcast in the coming days at TVR Timişoara. Upon entering the Banat Philharmonic concert Jethro Tull was covered only with a small poster, while beside him stood a gigantic promotional poster of a concert by Fuego. Despite this, and pretty steep price of tickets, the recital Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull in Timisoara took place in front of a full house, proving that good music does not need much promotion. The next concert "Performed by Ian Anderson Jethro Tull", will be held tomorrow in Bucharest February 21.

hudba.zoznam.sk/reportaze/20-02-2017-vychod-cakal-na-jethro-tull-20-rokov-vyplatilo-sa/[ hovercraft/eels style translation by Google] East waiting for Jethro Tull 20 years. paid off8 hours ago | Marek Danko Go to a concert, when the city will visit Jethro Tull is for rock fans of duty. All the more so when we had them in the east last time 20 years ago in Prešov. Social unsurprisingly sold out pavilion in Košice, February 17 Zgusta the apparent recent performances legend in the region. Chairs occupied diverse audience, from former and current mayor of up to students, not excluding the rich experience in Košice rock jet-setters and south situated external audiences. In short, compulsory social event, where everyone knows everyone at least by sight and stale Pausing over by "how much is in the Hall of youth" sounds, at least fails. Jethro Tull has yet long not matter today fifties, the way for them to at least the last 30 years found a bounty of new fans (including the author of this article), rejuvenating the average age of listeners base. Equally useless it is to say, progressive rock is not the prerogative of the "haves" but multigenerational, timeless, General Listening genre. Expectations before this concert were huge and thus result if only the principle was worth it. A really he stood. Old-fashioned principle not like smartphones State of play demonstrated by the staff formation. Older leave young come, one position remains invariable - Ian Anderson is unmistakable figures and constant quality GEAR holding together. This remains the fact that this year celebrate the seventy and under doctor had to stay at home, because it annoys health problems. In any case, energy is enough, otherwise they would not manage to lung challenging game stylistic flute and was not allowed to miss even the proverbial zvŕtanie on one leg or the Scots unusually flawless English accent. Ian is also a proficient speaker, most of the songs properly reported and commented. Has he found the time to meet people and although they probably just called for limiting smartphone, yet reap applause for it. With singing it helped a few samples, respectively. people from the canvas. In Heavy Horses is contrary to the original voices charming women, Aqualung , the original "nasal" version approached more. From the eponymous album was delivered Locomotive Breath (I smoked riff old locomotive) and free improvisation My God , where was clearly heard as they work Ianove lips, mouth encircling flute. Every breath, shattering high tone, warble or powerful long shots deserve admiration. The room also gets an accordion - A New Day Yesterday 's treasure with rugged, compact, the staircase is kopŕcajúcim riff, opening plate Stand Up, where the band was sounded for the first time as the rest of the career. Jethro Tull Ian Anderson in Prešov, 02.17.2017 (Photo: Miro Morvay)After the milestone of 1969 had therefore musicians reach several times. In a subtle homage to JS Bach Bourée again he excelled Anderson and inadvertently (thanks to sound engineer?) And the Living in the Past or Nothing Is Easy , sounding at home where quite a substantial guitar could be heard only in quasi-indications. The situation with advancing solos improved to the point where you Florian Opahle allowed reamed second tribute Bach Toccata and Fugue in D minor . Lightning shred treatment being performed bowed and Principal Anderson. He guitarist picked as one of the successors of Martin Barre, which is indeed almost impossible to replace, but the audience took the young man "at the mercy" and kvitovali his art with appreciation. Sitting on the bench páárk ... The same is true successor of Clive Bunker and Barriemore Barlow, sitting behind the drums. Scott Hammond is smuggled a difficult task with an overview - from the debut This Was you took to task Dharma for One , in which cram exceedingly excellent drum solo. Not idle even in dynamic passages, when the blows irregularly stirred in characteristically dramatic, creating an amazing gradation effect. It demonstrates that even uncrowned princess of all, give or take a 40-minute songs Thick as a Brick , from which were presented only short fragments before, but only those in itself was enough to top experience (as he must have felt the audience after watching the complete version four years ago?). After Anderson's right, by contrast, they focused by senior musicians. John O'Hara have brought diverse registers. There is also preťažký 70's Hammond sound, without which it could wrap Jethro Tull, discreet piano and spinet Renaissance, krášliaci madrigal Henry VIII. Pastime In Good Company . Spiraling sinuous harmonies are present even in the folk influenced by the formation of 1977, when the band released Songs from the Wood (in addition to the title freed miniature jack-in-the-Green ). Dense substrates can be attributed to the account and bass guitarist David Goodier , sekundujúci Anderson newer pieces of ruined nature ( Fruits of Frankenfield , Farm on the Freeway ) and the financial crisis ( Banker bets, Banker wins the sequel Thick as a Brick 2). The prerogative of the genre are variations on familiar themes studio with which the concert enjoyable. Probably the most "boys" had the opportunity to show in the said My God - first John, then Florian and finally Ian, whose Figli almost was not over. At the word "sitting on the páárk bench" he has always instinctively raised before the eyes of journalistic style of the late Peter Pišťanek, who was able to make special reviews really unconventional story, but the solo in Aqualung can not find the appropriate words, it makes me childhood and a wealth of memories , binding to it. Probably the only criticism Commenting on the playlist are attributed to the absence of the classic plates Benefit, at least To Cry You a Song still could cap in the second addition to collect residues forces. It did not, in any case, the group has a strong art-rock events, which often does not live here. Jethro Tull provide a representative cross section classical repertoire into which they can fit a couple of newer titles. Musicians, led by Ian Anderson enable people to travel in time and relive the magical moments of music, what is in this genre manage to pass only a handful of composers. If the main principles alive at ninety, you can still come in eastern Slovakia put repete. Setlist concert Jethro Tull Ian Anderson in Kosice: (17. 2. 2017, party pavilion) 1. Living in the Past 2. A silent and Facebook site February 20, 2017, 1:34 p.m. from Stefan Both Ian Anderson charmed Timişoara who participated in the concert hall "Capitol". During this event, remained speechless Facebook site. Ian Anderson, the legendary musician who set up the band Jethro Tull, 50 years ago, toured on Sunday to Timisoara. It was an event that passed almost unnoticed. Organizers in Bucharest, and did their job, mercantile, almost all tickets sold, but they called and press the concert. Just before they were needed for promotion! You say that there are "social media". But during the concert, the audience were forbidden to photograph or film with your mobile phone. So that was quiet and on Facebook, no one has posted photos and videos, nobody has done "live" sites. When a phone light went out leisurely in the dark, "underhand" in the area appear a security guard, with badge, reminiscent of restriction. It was disturbing and reminiscent of the times when a rock concert had to sit tight, because the bodies were vigilant eyes on you. Professional photographers were barred from the courtroom also use their devices. At the concert, good world. They were seen architects, doctors and engineers, writers, culture, people known in the town that Bega. But not only them. But they all lived in the communist era rock. Jethro Tull has delighted and Timişoara generation 60-70-80 years. And only they know how hard it was to get hold of a vinyl disc, bought from touts. Only they can remember the thrill whom felt when a radio station in Yugoslavia or Hungary, or RFE, sounded a play in which you could hear Ian Anderson's flute's magic, inscribed on rock. Speaking at the concert in Timisoara came a large group of fans from neighboring Serbia. But I have seen enough and young people who have discovered new music of Ian Anderson and Jethro Tull. On stage a 70-year-old Ian Anderson, amazingly energetic, with his flute, charmed those present. The concert in "Capitol" was heard perfectly, as often happens at a rock concert in this hall. The scene, as simple - the British, the so alive. In the background it was mounted big screen, where, throughout the concert ran pictures coming in completing parts and fantastic game's artistic Ian Anderson. It was accompanied by Florian opah cooked Tahitian (guitar), Scott Hammond (drums), John O'Hara (keyboards) and David Goodier (bass). Apart from Ian Anderson, none of the musicians was not part of the old guard Jetro Tull. It was an evening full of magic for rock music fans with hits like "Aqualung," "Thick as a Brick", "Locomotive Breath". Brilliant composition "Too Old to Rock 'n Roll, Too Young To Die", a play that many sang it and even have dreamed often was not sung in Timisoara. After Timisoara, Ian Anderson will perform in Bucharest. On February 21, at the Palace Hall.

IAN ANDERSON, ENERGY SOURCE 21.02. LINK 1 LINK 2 I propose a chronic concert. I just want to share with you the joy of these revisions with Ian Anderson. He came with his band of exceptional musicians. Jethro Tull was not, but it was better. I was at the Dinamo Stadium II when Jethro Tull came first to us. We remembered that moment with Lelut Megastar Vasilescu, my neighbor lodge the Palace Hall. It was in June 1994. We then re-played many parts, but if they become more dynamic, lively. This time Ian Anderson was talkative, presented pieces, had pictures on the screen, perfectly synchronized with the song live. There were two sides, a round and intense concert. The Hall dominated by connoisseurs was responsive, but not overcrowded.
Too few young people and it's a shame. For them. Anderson's gestures State one leg, playing flute, harmonica, guitar voice, constant movement is transmitted (at least I felt that). In 1994 he sang "Too Old To Rock N Roll, Too Young To Die". I hoped they do today, and I was asked, but there's no offense. At 70 years old you do not feel like doing such statements ... It was a memorable evening and I'm happy that I had an interview with this great artist quite different from those found in the media. And a friendly suggestion to anyone: SHE MAY MISS great, even if they come here after over 60 YEARS!

Ian Anderson, "too old to rock'n'roll" - when time does not forgive even the best February 23, 2017, 3:26 p.m. from Elena Deacu Ian Anderson unmistakable energy remained the same as in youth. His voice, however, refuses to interpret the songs with the same melody famous former band Jethro Tull. Although well-known track "Too old to rock'n'roll" was sounded Palace Hall Tuesday evening, she might best describe the atmosphere of the legendary band progressive rock singer appeared on stage: too young to die but with a voice too eroded by time. At a venerable age of almost 70 years, Anderson still trying to carry on the legacy that he created as a soloist of Jethro Tull. Famous songs known as "Thick as a Brick," "Aqualung" and songs like "Bourrée" or "My god" from the album Live 1970 "Nothing is easy," released only in 2004, they brought the young fans attending the concert. Anderson left us just to take a look discreet than his latest work, which performed "Fruits Of Frankenfield" showing however that has inspiration to continue his creation. And although energy was exuberant on stage, sounds of flute and guitar and his gesture which basically defines (leg up when playing the flute) we were not allowed to see the imprint of time on her passion Anderson is dedicated to his work, his performance left voice could seem desirable and even "painful" for fans accustomed to the perfection of his studio albums. Anderson's voice was helped but backing vocals by bassist David Goodier interventions of live recordings of the singer and Icelandic Unnur Birna Björnsdóttir, whose image was projected on the back screen. Also a little help came and dividing the show into two parts. Anderson's voice had long suffered from vocal cord surgery a few years ago and the previous concert in Slovakia artist took the stage acknowledging that the flu. Besides Goodier on bass, and Anderson had with John O'Hara on keyboards, Scott Hammond, which provided a cheering crowd sparked solo on the song "Dharma for One", and guitarist Florian Bavarian opah cooked Tahitian who performed an impressive solo of "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor" by Bach. Thick as a brick la Sala Palatului: Noting the sound exceptional and flawless organization of the event by ATER Events . The last time Ian Anderson sang in our country was in 2015 in Galati, the festival "Rock the Danube". The tour which includes concerts in Bucharest and Timisoara, where Anderson sang two days before, take place before the official launch of a new album of Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson, entitled "The String Quartets", which will appear in March and will consist of reinterpretations of famous classic-style songs that brought the band that wrote history in rock music sold over 60 million albums worldwide. Setlist Ian Anderson in concert in Bucharest on February 21, 2017: Part 1: 1. Living in the Past 2. Nothing Is Easy 3. Heavy Horses 4. Thick as a Brick 5. Banker Bets, Banker Wins 6.
