I love John's pics of the Goths...... something strangely fascinating about them. What is it? It's a bit unnerving. I need to know Non Rabbit will know I'm sure - she's good at that type of thing OneBlackGoth

That last outfit/pic of the zipped face is amazing. I love this for it's enthusiasm, imagination, setting, the fact that it's for all age groups and types and for it's slightly dark side which lets face it, we all like a bit of a thrill. I've always been attracted to the slightly weird and the quirky. I always blame the Catholic upbringing. The Gothic buildings, shadowy churches with flickering candles and the smell of incense, the wearing of the black lace mantilla, statues with the bleeding hearts. Hell and Damnation!!The manifestation of eating God's body every Sunday. Stop me - or I'll write a song I've said it before and I'll say it again I particularly love Steampunk (refers to a subgenre of science fiction and sometimes fantasy—also in recent years a fashion and lifestyle movement—that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery) more than Goth. And I love John for bringing this to us and for introducing me to it. Steampunk - gorgeous i60.images obliterated by tinypic/287dv2r.jpg[/IMG] i62.images obliterated by tinypic/259vnle.jpg[/IMG]

Goth is actually a real name in Denmark. It's not pronounced in the same way, but it is spelled the same way, and I know a woman in Denmark whose name is Hanne Goth... I told her about the Whitby Goth weekend, and suggested that she took a trip to England, but she's more into Mozart... ...and... Here comes...

Sorry I didn't get more steampunk photo's because it poured down after the first couple of hours I was there and everybody legged it. But here's one I did get.

Ian Anderson assimilated by The Borg perhaps ? "We are the Borg. Lower your shields and surrender your ships. We will add your biological and technological distinctiveness to our own. Your culture will adapt to service us. Resistance is futile"

Wow! This is perfectly strange and well done. I love the variety of styles and coolness. The music is well synched with the images and the photography is amazing.

I'll let you into a secret Jim, the "well synched" bits were a total fluke but don't tell anyone right.

John you surpass yourself every time. That's brilliant. The music works and love the ending. I was just chatting to Salamander on FB and we both like a page called Steampunk Tendencies www.facebook.com/SteampunkTendencies/?fref=ts and I was saying that it was thanks to John on the forum for introducing me to it.
